So i am no longer satisfied with my 2 inch lift on my 92 loyale . it was fine with the stock engine but after i EJ swapped i now want a bigger lift . so im thinking 6 inch that way i wont want to go bigger any time soon . so my question is what is the most ideal 6 inch lift . (the most soilid and with the least problems) . i know high guy lifts and SJR make them Along with the possibility i could buy blueprints for a B.O.S.S lift not sure what my other options are but i would love to take them all in to consideration . i have heard and seen some people who connect all the lift blocks together sorta like rock sliders but im sure its just to support the unibody more. also what are the down falls of having a 6 inch lift on a loyale . not to worried about the gas millage cause im sure it would still be alright. this is my Daily Driver but i do wheel it every chance i get along with going up to mt hood every chance i get also . Thanks in advance for the feed back

sounds fun though. well i say we get something set up . my car is running great at the moment. would there be any lifted rigs willing to go up in estacada and go wheel for a day or something
-
i say estacada . we could all go to hillock rd (goat mountain ) and go to the towers . then again you would probably need a lift to get there or just not really care about your car

i would go two inch if i were you . that is what i have and i dont hav problems getting anywhere really. its great for a daily. they re also easy to install. also i made my lift so the axles are only stressed a half a inch. you will need to massage your wheel wells a little but its still doable . i would not suggest getting general grabber at 2s if you plan on diving ot on the road often cause they have a pretty soft tread compound .but overalll thats a awesome tire . its what im running . here is a link to my build so you can get a idea on how much you would need to cut and what a 2 inch lift looks like http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/140101-my-92-loyale-build/ hope that helps some -
okay i was really confused on how i could have missed that

they had adjustments? the pitch stoppers off the loyales or the legacys ??

inferno fab .

i would definitely get these headers gain. They are way nice and i gained a lot more power compared to my old set up hah no surprise there though
-
so i figured my problem out. when i made the custom length pitch stopper i made it about a 1/4 inch to long and the old wore motor mounts didn't hold the engine where they were suppose to. so when i installed the new mounts with a 1/4 inch shim again the pitch stopped was too lond . so i cut and welded it shorted and now it fits. so i would say make sure your motor mounts aren't so worn that it makes the engine sag forward . ... here is a picture of the shim and the old mounts installed with the shims

rear diff pinion seal
92loyale59 replied to 92loyale59's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
so i ended up makking this tool to hold the diff in place while i used a breaker bar to remove th 27 mm nut it worked but i did end up bending the tool some . i parked my car facing up hill so i wouldnt have to drain the diff fluid since its all ready new .once i removed the 27 mm nut i tapped off the coupler or whatever it is and then drilled a small pilot hole in the seal and drilled a long wood screw a bit into it . then i pried on the seal and out i came . greased up the new seal tapped it in and tapped the coupler back on then i put lock tight on the threads and tightened it back up to where it was ( i made i mark with a chisel) . now theres no leak . thanks for the advice evryone -
sorry i had no clue it should be in the retro fitting part . i figured since i broke them off road this would be a good place to post it hah but i get it now. i do have a pitch stopper so i do not believe thats the problem .i also am using the square mounts . i got some new mounts to day for 44 a piece so i will try a 1/4 inch flat stock on the lower end and see if they are still gonna break. im hoping they dont . i will try to post a picture of the shims if it seems to work for me

so since i have finished my EJ swap in my 92 loyale my biggest problem has been keeping the motor mounts from spliting. they both split on the inner top of the mount closest to the engine and oil pan . i used the search thing to find others solution and i found that someone made a shim . im just wondering if there were any other ways to fix this problem and or more details about the shim .. thanks alot

rear diff pinion seal
92loyale59 replied to 92loyale59's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...

rear diff pinion seal
92loyale59 replied to 92loyale59's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
thanks a lot . i tried a huge breaker bar and the nut would just move along with the wheels even though i had them blocked up. i guess i will try to find someone with a large enough compressor so it can actually power my impact gun -
so i looked in the search forum and found a little bit of help on this subject but not much. i was wondering what the best way to replace the pinion seal on the rear diff off a 92 loyale . i remove the driveline from that end ans tried using a breaker bar to break the big 27 mm bolt loose while the tires were still on the ground but no luck . do i need a impact gun to remove it ?? thanks in advance for any help

im almost positive it has to be built before 1975 to not need to pass emissions . and the cat doenst quiet down the exhaust system at all hardly. i am getting that sraight pipe part just so i dont breAK the cat wheeling cause it sits a bit low
-
i thought the car had to be build before 1975 to not need a cat . and i also have straight pipe to replace the cat i just got the cat so i can pass d e q in a few months
