  1. Check valves. Did you check if you have motor oil level descend?
  2. it doesn´t seems to be a crack for me. Its only a defect on the aluminium.
  3. My engine starts #557 but is a JDM. It is 1980.
  4. Did you also change inside cv joint, I meant the ones that's go nearby the gearbox? As someone says, the noise could be the brake calipers too.
  5. Hi! you have some many details to know. Fisrt of all you need an specific tool to adjust number 1 and 9 bolts. The sequence of torque you can see it on google images searching EA81 Head Torque, you will find the sequence there. The torque you must apply is 22 ft-lb then 43ft-lb and finally 47 ft-lb, don´t need to use any sealant and you do not need to remove the cam towers because thats bolts (#4 and 5) also adjust the head. Finally 6 mm bolts need 8 ft-lb torque, and you hae to torque thats bolts after all the head torque Drive the car for at least 1000 km and then, with the engine cold, retorque to 47ft-lb-

  13. Nice!!!! It's the same color that my 1981 Wagon! The front suspension adjuster nuts turns hard because there is a lot of dust there and maybe nobody turns them since long time ago.....just ad some WD40 and ready to go again. Use a 21 mm wrench for that work. I have never any trouble using rear suspension rised up. Please post some interior pics! Martin
