Do I spy a block heater?

I remember. I found Drews build thread and realized it was him. Tried to see how much flex i could get. looks like it might but it doesnt rub finished my exhaust. new cat, obx resonator and 1/4 of the case from a gutted glasspack for my 4" mbrp tip i had on my old truck. The tip makes it slightly deeper.

No I cut mine at 15 degrees. I had originally only done a 4" body with 5" suspension so the geometry was off too much it pulled the doj joint out under. Heavy acceleration. I fixed it now.

As the title states this is a build thread of my car that i call the Scubaroo. It is an 84 GL wagon ea81 dual range. I bought it May of 2013 and have since started as of June 2014 building it. This was my second vehicle i bought and is the most involved project i have ever had. I have had a lot of obstacles while building this car but hopefully you all will like it. Also remember that i built this car with my money and built it to how i wanted it so the negativity can stay out of it. Enjoy. The start May 2013 The day after i got it and had cleaned it up some. Cleaned up and painted bumpers and wheels painted door carpet black painted center console started fabbing carb hat for cai Made a recovery point out of scrap The first time i rallied it New front brakes Little photo shoot with my buddies 78 F250. Back then it had 13" lift on 42" swampers 390fe and c6. Now it has a 410fe and np435 First winter up on the mountain

fuel return placement
scubaroo84 replied to scubaroo84's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I'm putting just the turbo on it. It's an ea81 with ported heads and a weber. The spfi pump puts out more pressure than I need. I'm running a rising rate regulator so that I have adequate fuel pressure under boost. The pressure will be set at 3 psi at idle and for every lb of boost the regulator sees (via a hose from the boost pipe) the regulator allows an extra lb of fuel pressure. So at 7 lbs of boost it will let 10 lbs of fuel pressure through. The return line needs to be bigger so that there is no restriction or it will not regulate properly. -
Nice brat! Um you do know the caliper pistons screw in right? They don't slide in and out like a regular caliper since the park brake is up front. Learned that the hard way myself.

On my ea81 I'm building I'm putting a factory 87 turbo on it with a weber set up for blow thru. I have a mallory 4309 boost referenced fuel pressure regulator and I will be running a spfi fuel pump, my return has to be bigger than the feed for the regulator to work properly and it needs to return to the top of the tank, it looks like the factory return goes to the bottom. Where should I plumb my return line to? I don't want to drop the tank. I saw on the instructions to ej an older soob to run the return to the tank vent box? Would that work? Where is it located? Also how much pressure does a spfi pump put out?

Thanks global that's exactly what I needed to know. Thanks everyone for the help, I was worried I messed up my spacers. -

Loyale 2.7 turbo, I think you're right , I didn't have to bash the strut towers in when I put the spacers in and I now see why it has so much camber. I'll take pictures after work. And I'll flip the blocks around. -
So I don't know where I went wrong, I tried finding good pics of strut spacers but couldnt. I have an 84 wagon I did a 4" body and 5" suspension lift on. I read that the strut blocks need to be cut at about 15°. The way I cut them was like so /=/ flip that 90° was it supposed to be cut only on one side? I like how high it is, just not the camber. I now have the engine and tranny in the car and it still has about as much camber as in the bottom picture sitting on all fours.
