My target is not to turn my car to 4WD. My target is to prepare my 1973 4door Sedan as gravel rally car of the time(1.6 FWD),accordingly to F.I.A. rules of the era. It must use the EA71 engine and I am willing to put some 4WD D/R 5speed gearbox transformed to FWD(cutting-plugging the rear end)and using some front LSD(helical)differential. I am trying to know if it is possible to turn some 4WD D/R 5speed gearbox to FWD D/R 5speed one with front helical LSD . This way I could having 10 speed gearbox. To be noted that I have not knowledge of these transmission systems as they wasn't largely shown in my country(Greece).

now it's ok. the low range ratio of the EJ gearboxes is where it mentioned 1.1 ??? only these are dual range EJ gearboxes???

confused...... again: the difference between 4WD and AWD? again: which cars have 4WD and which AWD ??? I want some car to take the EA 5speed D/R gearbox(ideally to have front LSD),to be used as D/R FWD with front LSD....

What exactly do the center diff.lock ?

You mean the push button 4WD systems. Is it possible to use some D/R gearbox(4 speed or 5speed) as 4WD ???? From what model I could take the front LSD ???

Thank you Loyale 2.7 Tubo for the chart. They are for the single range EJ gearboxes. I am looking,also, for the gear chart concerning the D/R EA and EJ gearboxes.

Where I could find the gear ratios,final drives,transfer ratios of all the EA & EJ D/R gearboxes????? I would like to know,also,the part number-code of the EA71 fat case bellhousing(side starter).

First of all I would like to know if exists some FWD D/R 5 or 4 speed gearbox. Second,if it is possible to transform some 5speed D/R AWD gearbox to be used as FWD with EA71 fat case. Third,all the needed parts to fit some D/R 5speed gearbox to the EA71 fat case. Fourth,all the gear ratios,FDs,the transfer ratios of all the D/R 5speeds for EA71 engine.

Could you let me know the gear ratios and the CWP ratio of this 5speed top starter gearbox???? I would like to know,also,if there is some D/R FWD SUBARU gearbox to fit fat case EA71 engine.

If I understood good: The s/r has a push button on the gear lever to select the AWD mode. The d/r has some lever to select the 4WD mode.This lever is located in the front of the gear selection lever,as on the 1st generation 4WDs ??? In which models I could find D/R 5speed systems????? Is it possible to use the 5speed D/R 4WD gearbox as FWD ???? You think that the 5 speed D/R gear graduation is ideal for gravel road rallies(competition use)???? Is it possible to see the gear ratios of the two ranges of the D/R 5speed gearboxes???? The gearbox codes of the D/R 5speed gearboxes? The D/R 5speed gearboxes are top starter type???

And what is the difference(in ratio or in km) between the high and low 4WD ???? The d/r is offered in FWD system or only in 4WD??? In witch models was fitted as original equippment?

It is not for my car. It is some 2nd generation Wagon for breaking far away from me. I would like to know if it is FWD or 4WD as well as if it is equipped with 5speed gearbox. I know that the engine is EA71.
