  1. I replied to you PM about decals. plus, I have available reproduction seatbelt "booties" Those are $20 shipped for the pair.
  2. I just took off my weber but didn't replace it with SPFI.....
  3. actually, I think the owners manual states we should run 90 or higher.... and I always have better luck running the higher in my neck of the woods
  4. that's the one I put in my old 87 wagon with the ea81.... should work fine.
  5. right. the 85-89 (flatter) style wagon wheels have more backspacing, and will rub on a Gen1 Brat on the trailing arms, unless you put spacers on the lugs... I used 3/16 washers as spacers once while temporarily running some of the 85-89 style wheels.... the correct ones for your Brat would be the 80-84 style, or the Jackmans...
  6. awesome.... thanks. I'll post some more on Wed. during normal hours ... I just got in from installing a new intake on the Brat... having idle issues, and I'm not sure I'm happy with how I had to hook up the manual choke....
  7. my old '82 Mountain Grizzly wagon with the 3" lift was my daily. I put nearly 40,000 miles on it........
  8. okay, I have sites 69-72 reserved so far at the Cherry Glen campground. trying to get 73 and 74 as well, but they would only let me reserve 4 Max.... email has been sent for assistance to Tim/Vicky.... oh yeah, after driving through there this past weekend, and the proximity to the lake, be sure to have plenty of bug spray
  9. here's kind of an overview of the 80's 4WD ratios... info is believed to be accurate, but I make no guarantees about it http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/80s/mick/gear-ratios.htm
  10. okay, here is the proper one.... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/80s/mick/mick-usrm/charge.jpg
  11. the "O" it points to is the fluid temp switch and warning light for 4WD AT only *edit* that pic was for the turbo brat carbed one coming shortly...
  12. well, I went to check out the campgrounds today. very cool looking area... and some of the places that they list as no shade, are wrong. lots of trees throught... pretty big area... I want to get the sites all adjoining if possible. lots of campers and lots of tents there this weekend. this area has 127 sites with electric hookup most are tent or camper...
  13. okay, looks like it's coming from the tach.... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/80s/mick/mick-usrm/charge.jpg
  14. dang it... totally spaced it off last night.
  15. okay, been doing some research on the camping available there, and I will be checking out the areas this weekend.... I'm focusing on the C loop of the Cherry Glen Campground at Saylorville. C Loop has showers, restrooms, and a playground..... most sites allow for 6 people total, and anywhere from 1 to 3 vehicles. so right now, I'm looking at getting 4 sites to accomodate those of us that want to camp.... (that have stated so...) But may just leave it up to the individual to get their own site... not sure yet how to handle.... changing title of thread so I can get more camping info.... will look at other areas (outside of Saylorville) if I find any.....
  16. also, there's 3 different packaged kits of the '74 coupe GSR (same internals I believe thought). The one on eBay right now is the most common. the other 2 sold for around $50-$75 each last time I saw 'em on the Bay... I'm still looking for them...
  17. and this is sort of a Holy Grail of sorts for soob model kits.... have only seen it on eBay once in last 6 years, and because of the way it was listed, it didn't show up in some searches Best $5 I probably ever spent
  18. I have a '84 FSM and the Bentley manual which I like better for the wiring diagram... but I won't have access until late tonight.... seems to me that there are a couple of in-line fuses under the dash that should be checked as well......
  19. yeah, you can get new strut mounts. the last time I bought ea81 mounts, they were like $60 each, so I'd guess close to that for ea82 ones....

    BYB skid plate?

actually, if you were to attach the skidplate on the front as normal, you would need to just re-drill some holes in the plate it attaches to. the new holes will be more forward from their original position... but by doing that, the skid plate will now be very close to the oil pump, if not hitting it or the filter. in the pic posted with the twisted skid plate, the pump is still intact. that pic looked like ramming speed was involved if the skid plate had been on without a front spacer, I think there would have been oil pump/possibly engine damage from an impact like that... if your gonna be rammin', better off with a full skid plate
  21. you should be getting the proper one today or tomorrow
  22. the brochures are also available from the "80's Subarus" page off the navigation section of the homepage of http://www.ultimatesubaru.org
