this is 120 psi in the stock air suspension with tractor tires... ( from WCSS 3 )
-
the Dealer Options winches were basically a 1500 SuperWinch I believe... you can still get 'em the same size. (local parts store has one for $160) though not the same yellow I don't think....

I'm running an ea81 engine in my 87 wagon.....
-
must be a newer addition to PK's lineup, as the biggest previously was the ea81 4/3 and a 3/3 ea82....
-
yeah, I was gonna put my chevy drilled wheels with the 30's on it, but since it's a mostly street behicle, and it's ea81/weber powered, I just went with the 225/70R14s.... plus since this wagon is pretty much rust free, I didn't want to start cutting into it to fit 30's.... gonna save the chevy 15's for a different project.... This wagon is gonna be my daily/fun vehicle 'til spring/summer, when I need to decide which wagon stays, and which wagon goes......

the tires are a Firestone House Brand "Lemans AT" 225/70R14 it was a blast this morning in the snow/ice....

if it's got the original motor in it, it will have hydroaulic liftes that don't need to have the valves adjusted, but they could maybe use a good cleaning... run some SeaFoam through the gas tank. there are some valve cleaning items on the market, but I haven't tried any of them.....

Clutch job on lifted rigs..
mcbrat replied to RavenTBK's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
should be no problem. my 82 Brat is lifted 5" and I didn't have any problems getting the motor in when I did the 5 speed swap.... -
well, thanks to Qman I now have a full set of 4 of the raised round hole 14" pugs that may get swapped in.... might move the goldies to my 86 Brat next up will be some lights on the rack, and maybe the bumper....
-
you shouldn't have any resistance... leave the PP bolts loose so that the disc can slide without much effort. I'm much happier now doing it this way..... if everything is lined up properly, it should slide tight together without any resistance.... you may alos need to take a small pointy edge file, and smooth out the splines on the clutch disc. I had trouble one time, and I messed up the edge of the splines....

83-84 Clutch with 82 BRAT (UPDATE!)
mcbrat replied to Flowmastered87GL's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
I really don't believe it's the TOB. there's enough play in there that if you've got the clutch cable off, there's no way it could be pressing that hard on the PP fingers. so you can put it in gear, stay off the clutch pedal and start it, and it won't move right....? -
pics are on your thread in the Retrofitting section

My wife says the gold wheels look out of place with there being so much black on top now....
-
they are RW brand wheels. they were originally purchased for a Turbo Brat back in 1991-92... they are 14x6. I've got 225/70R14 AT's on 'em...

83-84 Clutch with 82 BRAT (UPDATE!)
mcbrat replied to Flowmastered87GL's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
I think PK may have hit it on the head on your other post in the offroad forum.... here's my spare TOB's.... -
that sounds like the exact problem there PK!
-
with the 3/3 lift, you don't need to adjust the linkages.... did the brat move okay before the clutch swap/lift was done? so can you smell the clutch burning then? are you torquing down the PP bolts before installing the engine, or are you torquing them through the starter hole? did you replace the clutch cable?
