  1. I can't F%$%^*&%G stand it!!!!! was making some progress on the 86 hydro ea81 I got to put in it.... exhaust studs broken off. was drilling them out. actually drilled through the busted bolt okay, then went with a slightly bigger bit. worked good too. then I thought I'd try a "bolt out" at that point. bad choice. thing snapped off :-\ cobalt drill bit just makes it look shiny.... at least the motor is still salvageable with a different head on it, but I don't have a hydro head handy.... On to Option #3.... another engine. but it will need to be temporary, as this engine is headed for my 82 Brat...
  2. if the temp guage is normal, then I'd say you have limited flow through your heater core.... with all the overheating issues with ea82T's, there's no way I'd put cardboard in front of the rad.... don't want it to run any hotter than it needs to...
  3. I need to order some gray and probably more red too, then I will start making up some RX sets....
  4. I believe the answer is no. the intake ports on the heads are different. plus the ea81t has the injectors right in the head, where the ea82t has them in the intake manifold.... (ea82T guys will let you know if I'm wrong....)
  5. There should be some USMB decals and others for sale at the meet. I will send the decals along with ShawnW (provided I get them out on time....)
  6. If they are the lug centering type with the special lug nuts, did you get the nuts too?
  7. What's the length on those decals. give me the dimensions of the RX seperate.... as it is a seperate piece.... thanks!
  8. it used to belong to a guy on the board from Wisconsin, but he sold it a while back.....
  9. anybody want to venture a guess as to the temperature at the time of these pictures...?
  10. it was probably about 1:15 PM Eastern Time. mapquest says 9.5 hours to Jim's house in the state that's Hi in the middle, and round on both ends...
  11. yeah, 6. 2000 at the Keg 2001 WCSS3 2002 wheeling at the cabin 2004 3 times at my house...
  12. message received. and also, Waldo learned what it feels like to carry 2 very cold aluminum wheels with his bare hands for a ways while it's below 0 deg. out
  13. best I ever got was 20. prob running about 17 right now... one thing I notice, is that the gas is a lot "cleaner" on the west coast. mtngrizz ran much better on the gas out in WA than it did back home..... I think the fact that we don't have any emmissions testing here has something to do with the quality of the gas we are supplied with....
  14. sounds like it's a XT6 spec clutch disc (material/spring wise) but with the smaller spline/hole that the 4 speed uses
  15. don't you need to use a ea81 clutch for the proper spline count?
  16. Mudboat, since you have an account on the board, you automatically have access to a photo gallery... click the PhotGallery link in the gray bar near the top of the page. once you get there, there is a link on the left side for "My Gallery" Click that, then you can upload pics from there....
  17. I thought scott had a spacer made to fit in between the larger TOB and the smaller holder....?
  18. Pat, do you have my number? it will be slick though central Iowa....
  19. the 4WD will be in the same location, but on the front fenders, the decal is too long for my equipment, so to piece it, I would insert "Hatchback" or something similar to split up the front section into 2.... Paul, actually, I think the only things I really need now are 87 wagon upper door panels in primo shape....
  20. won't fit. gen1 and gen2 are the same though..... thought somebody mentioned that a early 90's Justy steering wheel might work.....
