yes, those are the adjusters. you can raise the front end up about an inch that way. though you will encounter more stress on the axle joints with it up all the way....

need to check your transmounts. I had some bad mounts, and I couldn't get into revers if I was parked with my right side up a hill....

hard to say what ratio it is,as it had to be a custom conversion, but since it's a 1.8 turbo according to the listing, it's probably got a 3.70 ratio. The Brumbys came in REgular and "Sport" models. didn'tt think they had theDL/GL badging....

I don't think the ea81 sedan (80-84) came in 4WD in the US. If it did, it would have had an auto tranny mated to it.....

General Disorder has a buddy who was trying to make some MOMO adapters out of old steering wheels. I'm gonna have my friend do the same thing, using my true momo adapter (6 bolt) as a model the post you were referring to I think was for the Grant adapter which is a 5 bolt I think) it is available I think but very pricey....

I had one once with a bad motor. turned out the motor case was cracked, and the gears weren't meshing. I have also had the solder connections on the motor go bad (bust, corrode away) When that happens, it's a bit harder to fix. the door hinges don't move on the one in my 80 wagon. I had been doing some testing, and got it to move. found the bad spots, and redid the wiring, but it still won't move. there's no door on it now, so it's just an extra light up front....

I would say that'd be top end for a rust free 2WD ea81 soob in the midwest....

well, that wiring has been used on the 82 style, and a 80 style. I would assume the 81 to be the same.... could be a difference in the switch... does yours have the numbers like in the diagram? some have letters....

DPDT = Double Pole Double Throw. you might have to find a Radio Shack or equivalent electronic parts store.... the switch is away, so you are looking at the bottom or back of the switch.

I've used a dremel to make a slot in a headless bolt before, and then used a regular screw driver to get it out.... never looked at the internals of the lock before though.....

sure, if you have the exact same vuild structure, but the steel blocks are hollow, and the AL ones are solid blocks.

yeah. has a littleflex in it, but not much.... I used the windo-weld from Advance Auto Parts and filled in all the areas around the stockrubber (after cleaning of course.) But you need to start with a good set that way.

I urethaned my tranny mounts and motor mounts. everything is holding up nicely. it vibrates a lot more than my 86 Brat.... but not unbearable for most normal driving. not sure I'd want to go on a 5+ hour drive in it....

so how important is this strainer? I just started a rebuild last night, and the plastic/mesh strainer is a bit "bent". looks to just be a catch for any big particles that fall out, though after going through the 2 soobie filters, not sure how much would be left...... I found the weber replacement number for it after lots of digging, but it still appears functional based on how it installs.... any thoughts.....

depends on if you want more than one person with you... I enjoyed my 82 lifted wagon, but my Brat is more fun... the second gen has a readily available lift from http://www.ozified.com , but you can get a lift for the gen1 from mudrat79 in Eugene. parts are probably a bit easier to find for the gen2, but since the 78 has already been converted to 1800 and D/R. it will come down to other less important things: tilt steering wheel roominess in cab bed capacity body style you prefer I like the style of the Gen1 too, but prefer the bigger size of the Gen2...
