when I got my 82 from AZ, it had nicely cut cardboard pieces that wedged in nicely and blocked all the sun

I am making progress. There will be a large number of packages going out Tuesday. The USMB Logo ones have proven to be a pain for the reversed ones. very odd, but the cutter tends to mess up some of the images when cutting the reverse image because of the angles I guess and the direction it's cutting. Plus the damn writing is som small on the USM Logos.... after this run, I'm gonna stop this current design. Need to develop a better one.... I also have some more replica decals ready to be cut with more to follow....

my lift on the 82 was previously on a 84 black(mostly) turbo brat. no issues at all..... I am not using the rear horseshoe piece. I have Rancho RS5241's installed. I need to find my spreadsheet, but I believe they allow for 1" more up and 1" more down travel, taking the 3: rear body lift into account.... I had to grind a bit on the upper mount, but works really well.....

thanks Ed! that's a neat article..... -
one thing I had always wondered about: some of the axles I've gotten had Dodge Caravan instructions with them, and if they use the same spline count, what do the rest of the componenets look like to see if a swap is possible. could be a cheap way to get to a 5 lug pattern... I know the struts/knuckles have a camber adjustment

if it's perfectly straight and flat ( yeah right! ) and you had a towbar to flat tow it, you could do it. (with a sharp eye on the temp guage....) ShawnW towed a ea81T wagon with a '90 Legacy for well over 200 miles (Rapid City, SD to Spencer, IA) I can't get to mapquest or I'd give you a better number), but he had more power, and it was essentially a straight shot with no hills, and he was flat towing the wagon. if the towee is the same weight as the tow-er, it makes turning corners very interesting. I took a corner too fast one, towing a brat behind my 82 wagon (flat tow again with all 4 wheels down) and the momentum of the brat behind me as I made the turn, literally shoved the rear end of my car about 5 feet sideways into the oncoming lane. luckily there wasn't anybody there at the time. flat towing let's the towed vehicle use it's own suspension, and provides for a really smooth tow. a tow dolly will have a little bit of suspension on it if at all, and provides for a very rough tow experience. the roughness of it will jerk the light subaru around quite a bit

For Gen2: length 60", width is 37" between wheel wells.

the bottom pics of the black one are of the one I had on my old 78 Brat. it was a factory one, but it was just painted black... the top one is the pic from the brochure.

it's a trick sometimes to get 'em off. I've snapped off just the torx head of the bolt, and left the base (rounded) of the head. Like 3 or 4 times. very drustrating, because then it's either drill out the hardened bolt head, or use a cut-off tool to slice through the stub and bolt. then hope you can salvage at least 2 stubs for the conversion

Ted, yeah, and got the check today....
