  1. I was wondering about it, but it's tied to the turbo to intake instead of the manifold with the one hose, and charcoal canister with the other hose... turns out this wasn't my fuel smell issue. my right front injector is leaking badly again...
  2. I can't find it in my parts book at all. it appears to be a vac valve sort of.... mounted on the passenger side firewall near the vacuum pumps, cruise, etc... it has 2 large connectors in-line, then a smaller connector as well looks like this (the "o" is actually nothing, it'sa spacer to keep the lines lined up ) =|= O|= it's attached to the firewall with 2 screws. top left connector goes to the vapor canister top right (the one broken) went to the small connector on the bottom of the metal intake plenum lower right (small one) goes down to a round object slightly smaller than a softball. What is it?
  3. just look at where the nut seats into the wheel. if it's flat, you will need the correct length "mag" washers. if they are tapered, then your lug nuts should work okay.
  4. 82 is my favorite year brat. my 82 has a modified 4/3 BYB Lift, and custom bumpers and skid plate. pics in the link below.
  5. welcome! Where in WI are you? we are having a Midwest Subaru Gathering April 24th in Western Iowa. There is a thread about it in the Meet/Greet Forum. for your wagons, if it has the same (Gen2) front end body style, parts will for the most part interchange... some parts are a bit different. your 82 will have solid rotors, where your 84 would have the vented rotors. the calipers and pads are different as well. but the whole set-up will swap between them. no other mods needed for the 14's, except finding a set of pug wheels. or you can go the 6 lug route and you'll need to modify your drums/hubs....
  6. Fox, there's another thread out there, where someone is putting a Legacy motor and Ea82 trans into a Justy. He already has the spacer built, and has some pics.....
  7. there aren't really any "true" off-road areas (public) in Iowa, except a place on the east side of the state, but it's mostly jeep rock crawling stuff I think.... we'll just have to see what the dirt roads bring in the area....
  8. Brian, how about a good price on heater control valves for 80-84 body styles!!!!!!! although not necessarily keep 'em in stock....
  9. the shirts will start getting mailed out on the 10th of February. here is the last order list. shirts will only be mailed out if payment has been made.

  11. 6 more inches so far, and 2 more hours before it stops. was coming down at about 1 inch per hour for a while. put's our total for the year at 37".......
  12. yep. because of the torque on the axles generated on quick starts, without the pitching stopper there, it will cuase the motor/tranny to rock forward and back instead of transferring the power to the axles/wheels. without it, you will stress the bottom motor mounts, tranny mounts with the extra movement.
  13. Hey Todd, I have a VHS tape I got of eBay a while ago that has a bunch of 70's commercials on it, including a Soob one... i still haven't looked at it, but I can capture it to the computer.
  14. that's exactly what it is. a rear diff put in front with a custom subframe lift, etc... the rotation isn't different because the rotation coming out of the t-fer case would be correct.... in the normal sooby transaxle, there is an integrated diff inside the case.
  15. there's a mate in Australia who Supercharged a EA81..... Dave?
  16. I drew this up to help others understand it when Robert first did his...
  17. looks like the same article that was in Autoweek last summer. the pics that were included with it are of the white one with the red bumpers etc.... eyesore had the mag at my house this past summer....
  18. yeah. I had to use a big hammer that looked like a flat pick axe/prybar thing on one side that curved near the end, and a hammering surface on the other end. I placed the curved end of it on the axle cup, and rested the body up againts the diff, then had a flat hammering surface on the other side, and used a BFH. it took me a good holf hour of whack, rotate axle, whack, rotate axle...... and so on... finally came off...
  19. Here's a set on eBay right now with lots of info click here
  20. ahhh. Topps Weird Wheels.... don't forget this one... I bought an unopened box of the Topps Weird Wheels a couple years ago, and got 3 Brats and 3 Samurai's. The rest are just "garbage" to me....
  21. Ed Dahl is the guy who makes the Gen2 Brat decals. He sells them on eBay, but you can also go directly through him. nice decals. you can email him at: dahled@aol.com
  22. I'll have a small trailer of parts along too, so ifyou need something and are going to attend, let me know what you're looking for, and help me clear out some parts
  23. Midwest Subaru Meet Who gets the farthest traveled award for this one?
  24. I've been having a ton of fun with my turbo brat in the snow. lots of 4WDrifts just on the regular street for playing like that, I actually prefer the open rear end. in my 82 Brat with the LSD, it pushes my rear end around too much.
  25. State Farm is a company who doesn't like to ahve any claims at all. My first wife had them, and when we got married, they saw my less than stellar record, and dropped her policy (wouldn't renew), even though I never drove her car. We went someplace else, and got better rates anyway....
