  1. well, I ended up with a factory refurb Cobra 18 Ultra with weatherbands. 1 year warranty. now, any preferences on antenna size? this will be going on my redbrat, so I could either go with a magnetic mount for the cab, or mount to rollbar/lightbar....
  2. Geoff, so sounds like the diff hanger is "hanging" on the pass. side... that is a bad spot for rust. you will need to find a welder to fix it up as best as possible. no easy way about it..... Mick
  3. Opel, BWM 2002, Jeeps, check eBay out for the used webers and see what they came off of ....
  4. I'm moving this to a Subaru forum instead of off topic....
  5. they are more prone to loosening because the torque specs are only like 4 ft lbs maybe. (at least on the oil pan ones.) because the gasket is usually just cork, it will rip if they are tightened too much. the VC bolts if you tighten 'em too far, they willcave in the cover... but you definitely don't want to lose a VC bolt while driving! Ask ShawnW about that one
  6. yeah, I've got that pic in another brochure. I've gotten a lot since the time I scanned all of those the louvers are fun aren't they....

  11. Richie, email me your address, and I'll get a set sent off. should cover for the springs eh? thanks
  12. These are reproductions of the original Brat ones. Professionally sewn (not by me ) to exact same dimensions, and have a grommet hole and cord included. Heavy black vinyl, and nylon thread was used for durability and to help keep the rain out. Qman and GeneralDisorder have sets already as do I. Great way to protect the rare working seatbelts in the Brat bed. $15.00/set plus shipping (whatever method you prefer.) Here's a pic... Please let me know if you have any questions. Many sets available.
  13. like this then... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/brats/cbrat/cbrat.html this guy was in Oregon....
  14. Meeky, here's a lowered 82 4wd hatch that lives in WA.... http://usmb.net/gallery/album124/resized18Aug10057?full=1
  15. Here's the latest wheels page. I added lots of 14's and cleaned up some of the old files.
  16. it can be used with either a 1/2 " breaker, or a hammer. the VW rear axle nuts need to be torqued down to like 280 ft/lbs or something.... also, the Axle installer I have is actually a VW part as well, but I just noticed it. has VW and Made in Germany stamped on the side in very tiny, thin letters.
  17. Good item for the junkyard tool bag..... VW Axle Nut tool - 36mm there's a description here... http://www.bugzone.net/bztrns/trns2.html and a close up... they occasionally pop up on eBay as well...
  18. i'm running the 7302 momo adapter with a $55 wheel from eBay.... the momo adapter goes on really hard/tight... need a puller to take it off. I'm running a small 13" steering wheel, which was needed because no tilt... no wedging my legs into the wheel anymore....
  19. actually, in the UK, they marketed a "Shifter". it was a 2wd Gen1 Brat.
