The Great BRAT go-kart numbers mystery
mcbrat replied to moosens's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
if you click the http://www.ultimatesubaru.org button near the top of the page, and go to Brat Stuff, I think under fun stuff there is a page with some pics of a red one that was on eBay in CA a couple years ago.... -
well, I found why my mileage is so bad. while checking fluids today, noticed that the right front injector is dripping fuel.... I didn't have a chance to check it out any further though....
-
the inside bed wheel wells are another area. I saw a brat on eBay recently that had some other wheel wells covering up the stock ones
-
another note. the last 3 tanks covered a 400 mile round trip at highway speeds. mostly 70-75 mph
-
* notice. all non-related bantering threads have been removed to keep this on topic.... remember folks... no personal attacks....
-
well, the last 2 tanks on the way home from my trip got me about 17 mpg.... much better than the first tank (14mpg) it's definitely running rich...

mcbrat replied to tcspeer's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX
I've got a set of the Snap-On torque sticks. I like them and have had no problems at all... I usually use the 100 ft/lb stick... -
thought I would chime in here for some thoughts as well... ea81T Brat. varies from 14.2 to 17 (with a good tailwind) estimated. about 165 between fills..... thing seems to run great. no power problems, although it's my first automatic soobie so I'm not expecting a whole lot.... the exhaust reeks though.... I'm thinking I may have some cat issues as well..... any thoughts..... might be time for that custom downpipe....
-
Kurt, did you get that one from Iowa that was on eBay... maroon one?
-
so how old do you think this thing is?.....

I'll have to check it out again today.... I'd never seen a SOA battery before, because generally people around here don't put a OEM battery in an older car, especially one that's 24 years old.... -
the shirt runs will be done as a fundraiser for the board fees.... watch for a post in January with all the ordering details....

they work great.... from http://www.ultimatesubaru.org in the 80s section under helpful diagrams... it's the 5th pic I believe..... helpful diagrams
