no, it's not... yet.... I have all the stuff, but the question was put to me in this form... "If you can get into the predicaments you already do with the weber, and gearing isn't an issue, is it necessary? For the most part now, the only reason it quits on me is if I don't get the clutch pushed in quick enough . with the flexi suspension, the body/engine actually stays more level now than it did before... plus I did the "offroad" adjustment to the float for angles, and there were times that I got it started that I was very suprised it started... I think the bigger issue now, is making sure the oil is flowing properly

1982 GL fender on 1984?
mcbrat replied to CoolestDudeEver's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
the fitment around the marker light area, is if you are taking an 80-81 fender and using it on a later model with the quad headlights. ther's just a little more metal on the earlier ones, and it needs to be trimmed a tad for proper fitment of the marker light/headlight bezel, but it hidden behind the bezel... -
yeah, I'm rnning HEI too. the atoparts store I found the Taylor wires at, was clearing out all the "old" stuff. Carquest bought a local chain, so I got 'em really cheap... and I've got the sta ndoffs off the vawlve covers... the wires are the kind you cut and boot at the disty end too. I'll have to get a pic...

82 Brat auto windows wiring help
mcbrat replied to stephen115's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
the wiring diagrams are a few pages in size, and scans will be large if you can find them... -
additional note... when I got back from trip, the truck was missing badly... braking kinda sucked (low vacuum) seems that when the warranty engine was put in, they routed the plug wires right on the exhaust manifold, so I had been slowly losing power as the wires burned through... since it was slow, I didn't notice, and thought it was just the pulling of the trailer.... some new Taylor 8mm high temp wires, and proper stand-offs to keep the wires away from the heat, an oil/filter change and it's a comletely new beast now...

82 Brat auto windows wiring help
mcbrat replied to stephen115's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
do you have any more of the harness? your best bet will be a Factory service manual. 82, 83, or 84 should work... the Gregory's service manual has good diagrams too... you'll want to look at the 2 door coupe wiring... -
he was. I pushed him up and out through his window before they startng taking pictures... then after they were all done with pictures they decided to help me get back level. pulled me backwards until I leveled it out, then I got past the stump that cause me to get off-center in the first place... then I got to the end of the trail, where 2 more stumps were in the way of me keeping it straddled, and I did the slow tip again as my gummed up wheels slid down the bank... the ranger behind me tried, but couldn't get up it. too narrow as well...

you should be able to find a pic of SubaruTex's brown wagon with swampers on it....
-
yeah, more agressive tires are on my wish list, but too much other stuff going on currently to even think about getting anything....

you'll need 1x2 rectangular tubing. you can see the bolts/nuts from the underside of the car, where the engine crossmember bolts to the frame rails. you'll need longer bolts, and you may need to lengthen the steering linkage... you can have my 1" blocks, and adjust one of the holes as needed...
-
there is an adjuster bolt above the triangle in the mddle ofte tosion tube assembly (under the bed) you can bck the bolt off if it's been adjusted... however, i may be in the stock location. the EA81 series had a pretty good stock rake to them....
-
did you bounce off a stump?
-
there's an ea81 wagon on the Des Moines Craigslist... it' labelled as a Brat, as that's what the title says.....
