What is still has from previous builds... portions of BYB Lift Kit from Australia xt6 alt. accel coil weber 32/36 carb rear disk brakes EA81 GL-10 cloth interior newer radiator newr heater core Autralian rear seat shoulder belts
  2. came out of a '95 Cavalier. it's very comfy....
  3. almost there! got front brakes done today, and got the wheels on it... I just took it for a night spin... headlight wiring is working fine... I think I need to disable the torsion bar on the right side. it sits a little higher on that side, so it gives in a little lean to the left... got an exhaust rattle at the tail-pipe to take care of, and definitley have to work on the sloppy shifter... but it runs awesome! (weberized) gonna get it washed tomorrow, and get the front bumper on it, and take some pics!
  4. no, the interference isn't the problem, it's the plate mount... both are flat on top, but the wagon has the plate on the tailgate, and the brat's is in the bumper...
  5. for the rear, you can take a 4wd wag/hatch chrome bumper, and cut out a section for the license plate. I've seen them done like that, and they turn out pretty good....
  6. crap crap crap! I got the rear susp on tonight, and put on the pugs in the rear, and set it on the ground.... rear looks good... went to the front, and put on new calipers on the drivers side... they are the 80-82 style for solid rotors.... and I need the vented rotor calipers! so waiting on that now... I replaced a heater hose, oil, filter, and fixed the wiring for the radiator thermo switch... added antifreeze... had to take the right side strut back out and beat the inner fender a bit, as it was rubbing while turning the wheel... all that's left is the brakes, and to install the front bumper, and maybe put the rear bumper ends back on, or make a new bumper for the rear.....
  7. might be making it 3 they have at their house... talked to my Dad today, and might be getting a '82 or '83 4wd wagon. rusty, but running....
  8. passenger (right) side strut tower. closest to the fender... it's the black box one... right next to some smaller relays... however, if you are trying to retofit a centerlamp into a later model, it's much easier and more versatile (on whenever you want) to do it this way.... Option 1 here.... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=111108&highlight=center+lamp
  9. no, that's not mine... that's the picture Sterling just sent to me today....
  10. this place makes them for Gen2 Brats... http://www.truckrollbar.com/ here's a pic of one... http://www.indysworld.com/sterling-bar.jpg Part# 310 @ $405.00 + motor freight also, if you can go here http://www.indysworld.com/80s/ and look at the brat paint color examples. there's probably a few pics of rollbars in there... in the General section there's also a page of push bar pics... here's a stock low bar... http://www.indysworld.com/vehicles/1982-brat-red/2003-brat-2.jpg and here's a stock high bar... http://www.indysworld.com/vehicles/1986-brat-ltblue/86bt-lb-19.jpg highbar and push bar... http://www.indysworld.com/vehicles/1986-brat-ltblue/86bt-lb-9.jpg
  11. I had a similar noise in a 4 speed d/R after I started losing the synchro keys... was not lift related, just wear related, and if it's the original 250k+ trans, I'd suspect it... could be stress related, but not from the lift, but the larger tires and stuff you can do because the lift is on
  12. nah. I'v got a low mileage one from a Brat, with the matching door locks. The way I'm set-up now, I'm keyless
  13. okay, that keyed power switch was crap... poor quality... I now have independent switches for ACC, RUN, and ING with the pushbutton starter still... I also put in a large solenoid/relay for a power cut off-circuit so I don't drain my battery...... again.... I might have to re-do my panel, and just make a stand alone panel, and get rid of the slant console underneath it...
  14. I only have one set of the guards, and you need 2 sets... they are too long and narrow for the headlights... TL, the rock guards are made to fit over sealed beam headlights, so no go on a Lego.... like this http://www.eautoworks.com/product-TransDapt-Performance-259876.htm
  15. I had a set of 13x6.5 Shelby Alloys that I sold a couple of years ago... they are out there, just hard to find....
  16. the ea82 is actually wider than the ej22... so there can be some fitment issues there too... plus it's just fun to bash on the ea82....
  17. I can no longer fit an EJ22 into my Red Brat because of the new frame and steering box config... so my final engine mod will be to put SPFI on it...
  18. all kinds of good stuff last night, I actually found the rock guards I mentioned before. it was only 1 set, and they were not the right size for your vehicle... that's why I didn't use them... I've got a couple tool box type things, and some tools too. just common stuff though... not much automotive wise, but we've got a prety goodpile of things going in the basement now, plus I still have some stuff in our storage unit to get...
  19. most of the work I'm doing is in a not so brightly lit garage, at 2:00 AM, and pics inside don't work well, even with the flash so it'll have to wait until I can actually drive it out onto my driveway... it WLL be ready shortly, because I have to have the garage cleaned out for city-wide garage sale day in May
  20. No, I'm pretty sure it wasn't the PO. I believe it was the PPO It came with a new set of 4" SJR strut tops, but they didn't line up with the strut mount bolts very well... the old 4" strut blocks from my Ozified kit were closer, so I filed out the holes a little to get it to fit, and got everything installed... I picked up some new bolts for engine crossmember 4" blocks, since I had them set-up with a 5" lift in the red brat previously... The steering linkage was interesting since it had power steering, but it went on fine... The pitch stopper bracket from the Red Brat 4" lift was only 3", but was curved, so it worked perfect with the stock pitch rod... I should be able to start work on the brakes this evening... new (rebuilt) loaded calipers for the front, and need to check out the rear brakes to see if they are okay or not... and I may need the extend the front brake lines... I didn't have to do that on the Red Brat.... I was hoping it was an "1982" thing... I want to fix the sloppy shifter while I have it up in the air too...
  21. 4" lift kit parts installed. nothing else though. Kid and I had baseball from 5:00-7:30 tonight.... as a side note, the keyed power switch I put on my Red Brat was crap! really touchy, and I believe it drained down my battery... I was able to get it charged, but I'm adding a master cut-off switch to it, just in case.... plus hooking up the stuff a bit different....
