  2. Yep, Mountain Grizzly is coming home again.... my Dad decided he didn't need to have 3 cars anymore..... not that I need a 3rd lifted one either
  3. I wanted to have a set shipped over from Australia, but then II rid of the wagon.....
  4. correct, but the 82's sometimes have something different with the wiring.... so if you're replacing the whole unit, go with 83-97 just to be sure....
  5. yep. just FWD and neutral and you're okay. (provided front bearings and other components are in good working order )
  6. if you grab the URL off the properties of the pics, and paste it into your address bar to go direct, they show up, then they showed up in his post for me as well.....
  7. cool. are the photos posted the highest res ones you have? I can save them off there, and build a page for them, or if you want to build a display page for them, assuming they are in the same directory as the html file, I can take the whole package and save it to the USMB Server (so it's not dependent on the photo site) and link it into the 80's page. Be sure to put your name on it too
  8. I've gotten strut mounts at NAPA befoe and I think they were $60+ each there... the Gen1's have norrower tops I believe... The Gen2 caps are the same for 2wd/4wd, but they have an arrow as to which way they point for each....
  9. agreed. you can see the differences here on the wheels page... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/80s/wheels2/wheels.html
  10. Let me know what month works best. started too late last year, and not enough spots were open.... multiple choices is okay.... give me your thoughts...
  11. I think there's one of qmans in my gallery http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=294&cat=530 I just have a 1 piece shaft....
  12. check out this section of the site.... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/brats/brats.html
  13. if you watch eBay, and are patient, you can get originals cheap. I sold one for $50 bucks several months back....
  14. not sure how much of this can carry over to the SPFI EA82 since I'm a carb guy, but this is what I have on my Brat w/ea81 and weber... torque grind Delta CAM recurved disty from RooBuilders (out of business now) Excel Super Coil (big squareblock kind) MSD6A Ignition (multi-spark) Exhaust properly sized for torque and not HP
  15. an easier way to replace the core.... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49964 the control valve is a dealer only part. $110-130 usually. the do tend to corrode. the core pictured in the auction is an ea81 style core....
  16. depends on how it's driven, and conditions. for normal (non aggressive) driving I'd think it'd be fine, but if you're gonna thrash, no.
  17. these Snowtrakkers have decent tread.... http://www.summittire.us/Pages%20II/mudsnow.html available at Sam's club on the east coast. not sure about the midwest....
  18. yep. genuine subaru. they are in some of the non-US brochures I have.... a few sets made it to the US over the years..... plus I'm still looking for 2 more 14x6 jackmans with the 4x140 pattern..... to go with these 2...
  19. they weren't an official edition. they were just aftermarket decals you could get for them.... They came from D&G Enterprises, Inc. 1280 E. Chocolate Ave. Hershey, PA 17033 Appearance package for SUBARU HATCHBACK MOUNTAIN GRIZZLY DG-160-A-BLUE
  20. MikeW has a set of Desert Fox Decals.... but has never installed them. the Mtn Grizzly Decals I had were for a hatch too. Mike and I got them around the same time off eBay, and I've been on the look-out for a set of the Desert Fox ones for my current Hatch... they were an aftermarket item. I still have the company sticker off my mtngrizzly decals box. it had a drawing of a Brat on it..... notice how they don't quite make it to the rear on a wagon since it's longer. the Desert Fox decals are the same size and layout as these, but Tan based in color as I recall...
