  10. subiemech85, just left me a message a few days ago, stating that the window crank from his VW truck fits the soobie.... not sure what years, but at least something to look at....
  11. the 84 trans with the larger clutch/PP/flywheel, came with a slightly different bearing holder to fit the larger release bearing.... it will work with the smaller release bearing like GD said, but it the bearfing hits on the very tip of the pp fingers instead of about a quarter inch in.... so will wear differently....

  14. there are a couple of momo adapters on ebay at the moment. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?p=502730#post502730 the little blue steering wheel I had was only about 12.5" I think, and it worked, but with stock tires. If lifted and bigger tires, and no PS, you do need a "stock" sized wheel... the Benneton MOMO wheel I had at WCSS7 was just slightly smaller than stock I think, and it still worked....
  15. like pat says, you'll want to use the complete engine/intake/carb, fuel pump and exhaust from the carb wagon. May have to run a seperate power line to the fuel pump as well, to totally remove the ECU. disty will hook to the coil the same... really shouldn't too bad going that way (turbo->carb).
  16. Shawn is headed back towards DEnver, and is having some cooling issues with his Vanagon w/EJ22.... He may need a place to park while looking into it.... His number is three-0-three six-4-one seven-9-four-7 if you can lend a hand. he's almost to Reno now.....

E10 and be careful. the torx section of the head likes to twist off I picked up a manual impact hammer for this reason, but haven't converted one since.....
  18. I sold my 82 lifted wagon (mountain Grizzly) for $1300. ea81/weber, accel coil, rear discs, 3" BYB, rear shoulder belts, roof rack, off-road lights, custom front bumper. I also sold a '87 lifted wagon for $1400. 3" BYB, rear discs, brushguard, ea81 w/weber, MSD coil. both were sold to the same guy who was a soob fan. I don't think I advertised them though... neither had any rust...
