  1. I made it back to Iowa safely with my new "collection of parts" in tow...
  2. I'll bring along an assortment of shift boots and decals...
  3. no, not able to do the 4wd lever boot. it's too hard to get the old one off witthripping the little plastic pins off....
  4. that's because most chain parts stores only have EA82 info for 85+ so any time I'm getting parts for a 85+ hatch or Brat, I use 82-84 for the year... depending on my mood
  5. anybody needing any of the ea81 shifter boots? I just got a fresh batch from my supplier
  6. thanks for the hosting offers guys, but already had a hosting offer before red rocks came up.... I'll discuss with offerer later....
  7. I have a PM in to PK asking about it. the logo on the website will b really easy to do if PK and I come to an agreement on them. since it's roughly a square logo, the biggest it could be is 6.2" x 6.2" unless I split it into 3 sections..... tire wear on the outside can be remedied...
  8. where all do you have lift blocks in the rear then? what kind of mounting bracket do you have for the coil-overs? I did it like this on a stock brat, and didn't have any rubbing issues.... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/USRM2/mick-usrm/Strutsinrear/strut.html you may just need to get wheel with less backspacing...
  9. registration form and other information now up on my local clubs site.... http://www.ci4wi.org/Portal/ here's the site for the place where it's hosted. it's a members only place that only open up to the public 2 times a year... it's an awesome place for trails, climbs, etc..... http://www.peelout.net/ the "record" is 2 soobs at the event 2004: me and MorganM. can we beat it this year????
  10. the size of that is probably closer to 16x3 I think to keep in the right proportions. where's it gonna go? and I always prefer lifted rigs
  11. how big of a SUBARU do you want, and what color http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/80s/mick/decals/bratguy-decals.html
  12. I'll be hitting some yards on Monday hopefully wife says I need to get her a glass at the Hard Rock Cafe too.... coming out to pick up a collection of parts....
  13. I'll be in town, if anybody wants to meet up... don't think I have any parts for sale that anybody needs, but I could haul them out with me if I did. thinking about Red Rocks or just a gathering somewhere....
  14. the coupe is the same wheel base as the Brats and wagons, so any one of theire shafts will work if you stick with a 4 speed. I don't think there is a difference by tranny in the "ea81" years.... (just by wheelbase.) if you go with the 5 speed, you'll either need the 2 piece driveline from the ea82 donor, or measure to get a custom one made....
  15. the VLSD guts are what use the c-clips to hold the stubs in, so the problem stays with the guts. my buddy loves his VLSD for the mud running he does, but he's got a full 3" lift everywhere, so nothing more that stock axle extension...
  16. ball seat adapters are available.... (scroll down) $1.00 each. lets you use acorn nuts with them.... https://www.hi-jumper.com/SubCategories.aspx?subCatID=37&catID=11 I called them, and they had 'em in stock. got 'em today. they look good.
  17. They are for the "EA81" body style soobs: 82-87 Brat 80-89 Hatchback 80-84 Wagon, sedan, coupe they are listed 80-82 because of the antenna. 80-82 has antenna on the drivers side 83+ has antenna on passenger side Mike got it right on for what you need....
  18. this is the closest I have.... http://eknp.com/php/fd.php?f=calligrapher this one's even more of a stretch.... http://www.itcfonts.com/Fonts/Detail.htm?pid=204011 you definitely need a "script" type font....
  19. the're still gonna be bigger than 27's so I'd still go with the wagon tranny... how big a lift? I probably have the same street/offroad ratio, but it's still my offroader, and I would definitley take the better low range for off-roading.
  20. with that big of a tire, I'd definitely go with the wagon 5 speed D/R I spoke of earlier with the better low range.....
