Hah your brat looks just like mine when I went across the US -
Thank you been wanting one for a while. I was driving my buddy to Colorado and decided to make a trip up to Jackson hole
-
Never would I of thought I would think of an ea82 as sexy. But it's just so shiny
-
So I've had this thing for a while now, done some work on it but nothing to extreme. Figured I should start one of these before I start to get crazy on it though. Couple days after I bought it Going across the country a couple days later I then swapped over my set of re drilled hubs, added some 2 inch spacers, got a new set of tires from the schuwab, found a canopy( which is for sale if anyone is looking ) and jacked my shocks and torsion bar as high as they would go. A temporary fix for the rubbing. I also added some "sweet" electrical tape racing stripes( I know you're all super jealous of those) Soon I shall be putting a 6 inch lift, a d/r 5 speed and an ej22.

Awesome I will try to jack up the tranny and put it in gear once I get back
-
No, the only time I have ever put an engine back into a car was on my 66 ford and a forester that i changed the clutch and flywheel on. Basically what I'm saying is any advice is good advice
-
The bottom studs on the engine are my main trouble

I've been trying to get my engine into a hatch I just recently acquired for over 3 hours. No matter how much I twist, re level or slide it will not meet up with the transmission. Am I being stupid or is there something out of my control. The car is an 80 ea81 series hatchback that has an ej bell housing with ea push button transmission innards. It seems like I need to remove the front clip to get it in, but am not sure if that is even an option in this car.

Aw that just made me so incredibly sad, your brat is one of my all time favorites. Hopefully some schooling will change your mind but either way it will still be a beachin brat
-
I must have been special because they touched my 6 lug swapped brat. Never told them it was a drilled hub though

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeecks yeah -
With some work you could put an ea81/82t in, but at that point you might as well cram an ej22/20 into it, pretty sure you have to cut frame rails but it's not extremely intense fab work
-
If I'm making an ea81 lift do I need to offset the top and bottom since it isn't a triangle?

Still trying to find time to slam my ej22 into it, been slammed with work. Going to try to bring it up to wcss

RWD!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Nope it's a white one from Yakima Washington, it's covered in stickers( in the process of removing them) and has the rear windows tinted
-
So I just bought a 80 hatchback that was converted into a rwd drift machine. The dude before me had taken the innards from a single range loyal tranny and put them into an ej22 bell housing, chopped and welded the front axle nubs and lowered it so it sits about 5 inches off the ground. It's about to have my ej22 dropped in and we shall see how well it actually handles

Thank you very much, a lot of people are very rude when you ask them about things like this
