I replaced the brake pads and got it back on the router but it doesn't seem to be breaking when I slam on the break it pulls to the left. Do you think my caliper piston is shot. My brake pedal can go all away to the bottom and it doesn't seem to have much resistance to it. help please an thank you. -suburat

O boy I had the same issue. Blew my mind. My electrtion helps me out so I'm not 100% on all of this we did a sub wire from my ignition to my battery with a 12 v capastor then connected to my fule pump also we put a fuse on the sub wire so I don't fry what's left. So now when I turn my key to acc the fule pump begins to pump Sorry for not being more clear but I am NOT an electrtion cheers! -SUBBYRATT

Mtbakeris replied to levears's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
I had the same issues I did a sub wire with a small 12v regulater connecting to my ignition so It would pump gas when my car is in accessory. Worked like a charm -
So how much is it for the part it's self and if I were to get it done at a shop what would be the price range I think I can do it myself but let me know how it's gone for you if you have been here. Thanks!! Cheers!!

That may be a breather tube. In one side out the other. I did the same thing. Put a cap on it and oil shot up the tube connected to my carb. Filling my weber with a shite ton of oil:( that was a task ! -
I need help I need help adjusting my weber carb on my 1978 dl. I'm new too working on a carborated engens. Any one know know the right calibrations of the three screws . I also redid my throttle cable to compensate for my 78 altaneder but the idle runs high. So in term I turned the screw right behind my throttle cable that connects to my carbs throttle. Mtbakeris replied to Mtbakeris's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Hey man I really appreciate this. I went to schucks And I asked the manager what he would do. He said"put a cap on the open valve cover and upgrade the tube for the intake" So I trusted him. ..... Now I know I'm better off doing it on my own. And to NEVER trust a " schucks professional" Oil shot up my breather tube filling my carb with oil, ruining my air filter and causing me to take my carb apart in the parking lot. 4hours later I got it back together. Clean. so I put a breather on it Gave the guy an ear full and was on my way. She had to much oil in her. Thanks a ton -

Vacuum issues I believe. I have had oil coming out of ..eh I think is the pistons cover. On the left side it has a vacuum tube on it witch is connect to the carburetor. So why is this spraying oil now I've driven it like this for mouths. Here are some pics of both side
