  1. The frt pump is a larger version of the PS pump. It's the pump. The oddness in shifting is a hint. It gets quieter as it warms up as the fluid gets thinner. If you rely on this car it is better for you to fix it on your terms as opposed to fixing it on it's terms.
  2. Massive is key..
  3. The red hatch has a scoop, you said nothing about a scoop. When you are planing on a mod tell us everything else you are planning on doing with that mod at the time.
  4. i am not sure, but technically they are spark plug bucket seals, as the plugs sit in a bucket in the valve cover.
  5. A hood mounted radiator will not get the airflow it needs to cool even with the fans. Why not just build a proper bumper for it and save a lot of work
  6. A FI block may not help you much either. This is a brick with a small engine not designed for power, but for MPG. This sounds like your choke needs to be adjusted. Your pumping it may be floding it out trying to make up for a non-functioining choke.
  7. Spark plug bucket seals should be from subar as aftermarket ones fail prematurly.
  8. Lets start with some basics. When was the last time this had a tune up and the timing belt changed. Do a tune up as fouled plugs and tired wires can cause this issue too.
  9. A Fluid Flush will not help. If it is the front pump time itself will tell soon enough as it chews itself up. The noise matches engine rpm when, moving, parked, in gear, in neutral... How is the car performing otherwise. How loud is the noise. is it a whine, or closer to a scream or metalic whine. Noises are hard to diagnose over the net, so if we are wrong don't hold it against us
  10. a 1987 has a computer feedback carb on it. This is about right as all 4cyl Mitsubishi Mightymax get 18 mpg on the epa website. Remember back then 18mpg was great for a pickup truck.
  11. I would replace that. The oil pickup issue may not come up right away, but it may in the future, and would be a very avoidable and messy engine failure.
  12. Inspect all the u joints, not just the rear. If anyone needs a DS there is a rebuilder i like.
  13. Sadly just couldnt make it, my right arm is just hurting me too much.
  14. You are probably feeling the pedal return spring (I thnk) which you would never notice with fluid in the system.
  15. Fill it with fluid and don't worry about it. You are operating it in a way that it is not designed for so it will feel odd.
  16. NEVER EVER EVEVR EVER use a cleaner or flush in a transmission, esepcially one with high mileage on it.
  17. The driveshaft needs to be ubolted and inspected. If it is a bad universal joint there is super scary impending doom coming... seriously.
  18. No. Justy axles are available still.
  19. Thats only the modern Justy's, the subaru justies in the US were made by subaru for sale by subaru.
  20. Just because the car has low miles on it does not mean it escapes the ravages of time. I have an 89 Justy in my driveway with 30,000 original miles so i know about these things. Did i miss the brand of tires on the car?
  21. Once this is settled never ever ever go to them again, cause they do not know anything about cars. Subarus do not have unequal length CV shafts. They are just out of answers and are BSing you. There are cars with TS, but quite a few of them have engineered it out. You caught them in a lie. I wouldnt even trust the wheel alignment. You need to have that axle addressed before winter. Winter will destroy the cv joint. Have the front end inspected by someone else, lets rule out issues the idiots may have missed. This can be a bad tie rod, busing, or ball joint. Wandering tells me a b alljoint or tie rod issue. What kind of tires did you buy from them?
  22. You can't lock the kids up? And arent some of the conversational topics a bit adultish?
  23. Last I remeber Connie did not live that far into the sticks...... Just what kind of party is this and do i need my 270lb body guard
