  1. No i have never done it, and am still painfully handicapped. The Justy brings me joy. Once painted it will be worth 3-4K which is fair.
  2. OK 1500-2000 is what i had in my head.
  3. !989 Subaru Justy 2dr, minor ding RF, replace LF fender. Surface rust, no holes. I dont want to change the color of the car, but the paint has failed. What kind of budget should allow me a good paint job.
  4. It was a factory fender, as the Subaru Box was bigger then the Justy! We unboxed it to get it in the Justy. May hit him up for weather stripping, as i've given up on that. I walked in and said i was there for Unicorn parts. He understood. He is one of us
  5. http://www.autoblog.com/2015/12/10/subaru-breaks-ground-new-jersey-headquarters/
  6. The Justy was thought to be a real seller. It was supported as such. Since it was and wasnt, there are loads of parts to be found in 1989 packaging!
  7. Just for giggles I tried to find a left front fender for my Justy on ebay, no good. I tried Google shopping. Not only did I find one that was OE, but within an hours drive! Even the Subaru dealer was shocked it was available. It was 130 bucks with tax. !50 shipping fee is waived since I am picking it up. Never rule out Subaru dealers sometimes they can be shocking in a good way.
  8. Double check the timing belt. Did you replace the tensioner? Do a wet compression test too.
  9. Are the sliders new? I think you found your problem
  10. Bad Brake hardware Sticking E brake Sticking brake shoes Sticking caliper sliders (too much lube is a bad thing) Bad Caliper Rust Are we sure the other brake caliper is working? Have you tried cracking open the bleeders after removing the wheels. There should be no pressure in the system when parked (discs). If fluid comes out under pressure then for some reason ts not being relieved.
  11. You have a classic broken wire symptom. Check all the wires under the main fuse block under the hood.
  12. Just powers the ignition. Did you check the fuseable links under the hood of the car, as they are cheap and tend to rot with time.
  13. Just replace the wires with quality ones, as Resistance wont tell you anything about the insulation. Start with the front O2 sensor as your due. Get the codes rear properly at a (this sounds silly) autoparts store or get yourself a decent cheap one off amazon. Either way dont even let this shop clean your windows.
  14. If it happens again, check the ABS relay at the ABS pump. They go bad and stay on after the car is shut off at times.
  15. Can we have miles on the car (and tranny type and engine) please. Does it change on turns?
  16. It can be redundant since they mean the same thing, and the ECU isnt that smart. Hope for a failed sensor.
