My 2005 has a small weeping type leak. I just had it to a dealership (lost a wheel weight on a road trip and thought it was a wheel bearing). They said i had a weep, and said just ignore it. As long as I check the fluids (Which I always do) they said it isnt worth the bother to replace unless it starts to cause an issue. Great dealership

I had a 210 and a 310, nice reliable little cars for the time. Keep them away from salt, dont even let them see a salt shaker.

If you are doing your own work, go out and buy a cheap vacume gauge. Throw it on the car and it can tell a lot of what is going on. Codes sometimes get you only so far. -

No U joints it is FWD. Does the noise die down or go away when you let out the clutch? Clutch pressed and engine revved what does it do? Same question clutch out. -
I went to get my wheels aligned. Firestone (ugh but they are the only ones with lifetime alignment here) informed me that my rear toe was off (their words), but it was equally off. The bushings and bolts are frozen and need to be replaced to rectify this. I suspect this is where my problem is. They adjusted what they could, and it did help somewhat.

Well im my heart of hearts I would have a Jeep, BUT ... I do Subarus because they fit my needs. I have an elderly mother who no longer drives, and I could never ever see her being able to get into anything SUV/Pickup/Jeep like, I have yet gotten a subaru stuck, and I find them comfortable, rugged, and (well till the new outback) easy on the eyes.

Tow rating includes acceleration/braking on level ground and grades, along with the forces reacting on the handling of the vehicle, including people. the dynamic forces can easily be more then 5000 lbs the tow load and tow car as a system, going higher then that for braking from 60 mph. On a winch, even if you are suspending the car off a cliff, the load for the most part is the weight of the car plus whatever forces are required to get the car out of a hole/ditch at about 1-2 mph. The cable on the winch would probably break first before you can exceed the chassis of the vehicle. Wire rope Has a minimum diameter it can be bent without doing damage to the internal core of the wire rope (you can not see it).How the ropes are terminated have a big effect on the rating too. Unfrotunitly if the cable is Chinese I would not trust the cable rating as given.

Actually in person it doesnt look as horrific as it does in photos. The JVC will be wired to turn on the amp for now, I just did the install and the speaker wiring, and running of wires, then I ran out of light. So what your saying is to go ahead and wire the HU into the amp, power the amp, pull the RCA's and see what happens?

Remember be nice to me, I freely admit at times I am useless when it comes to electronics beyond basics and boards. Today I have been busy, as I did this Which was not as hard as I thought it would be for the most part. My ponderance concerns the stereo. The aftermarket stereo (JVC bluetooth music/calling/ipod controller/bells/whistles) is going to a 600 watt 4 channel amp. I am connecting to the power amp by the RCA jacks on the back of the JVC unit to the RCA jacks on the amp.The factory stereo I upgraded to a 2009 HU for playing MP3 discs. It actually is a sweet unit, 6 discs, sounds good. Now why can't I take the speakers out from the from the HU and tap into the speaker inputs for the amp so I can still play MP3 discs. I want my cake and to be able to eat it too. As of now the HU is powered but all the speaker wires have been cut to go to the amp. The antenna is going to JCV unit, and tha antenna amp is still on the HU until I get the antenna adapter.

Yup sharp snapping no more give left in the viscous coupling. It would be the same as an old 4wd in 4wd on dry pavement. Actually I am surprised the car is even controllable as sometimes at that point wet roads can make trees look too close for comfort. You are feeling the driveline build up torque then snap like a rubberband
