  1. The dealership is also being super nice about everything. i was even willing to put down a refundable deposit in good faith, they said since the car is cold (i'm the only lead) there was no need.
  2. YAY accidents is what i was worried about We may have a possible replacement for Blu. Just have to wait on carchex now
  3. 4S3BH896727618756 2002 Subaru Outback, man when did carfax get so freaking expensive?!?!?! I tired that free sneaky backdoor link but I cant get it work
  4. Thanks. MY partner looked at it. He said it is legit and a grandma car, but Grandma had no depth perception.
  5. 4S3BG6859V7615667 Listed as a 97 with 52,000 miles. Hard to beleive but ....
  6. Distance not an issue. I saw that listing. His seats don't fold down so I am back to a wagon
  7. That helps quite a lot actually. Are they all like this? If they are then the ski pass through won't cut it. My Legacy (98) had fold down rear seats.
  8. Im just going back and forth between the two in my head. I have decided on the h6 though.
  9. If you do, can you take a picture looking into the car from the trunk with the seats folded down? I am trying to decide what to replace Blu with.
  10. Blu, right now the only thing i think that can be salvaged are his new tires, the spare, and the roof rack My max budget is 7000.00 I think i want to gent into 2002 plus outback. I thought Baja but not realistic for my uses. Are the plugs on these years easier to change? How hard are the plugs on the H-6 What real world (stop/go) mpg are people seeing in the 6? Blu would get 17-19, so the same numbers in a 6 would be acceptable. Has to be an auto and i want loaded. Please no vultures yet, as i am sure someone would like his lift kit. Shame as over the past two years he had a ton of maint done to him. Even if he starts and runs, he was in salt water for 4 hours, and already showing signs of subaru (1997) rust.
  11. I vote for the fuse box under the hood. Then check your battery cables to make sure they are clean and tight, both ends.
  12. Highest centrifigal forces on a roatating part. Dont worry it will start happening more often and getting worse.
  13. What is happening is ocasionally the shaft is seizing in the joint so it doesnt not sit in the center of the driveline. When it is off center, it will shake violently. Gte this fixed as it will only get worse, and can actually shake the car apart. Fuel filter would be bucking or loss of power.
  14. I'm not seeing an impact mark. Yes you can replace just the one connecting rod/psiton/bearing assembly.
  15. Torn boot will do it (allow for the joint to fail), especially if it has been there a long time.
  16. Coffee and Coke usually does this mechanisim in. It all drips on the solenoid. Do you here a clikc of any kind when you press the brake pedal and push in the selector lock button on the shifter?
  17. I just worry about using a rather bland oil on a rather delicate engine (Justy). But it looks like I will go the shell route.
