  1. How do the handles come off the switches? I found out a weak battery is first to show up in the power seat switches.
  2. My drivers side power seats switches are failing. My best guess is they need to be cleaned. How do they come apart, does anyone know?
  3. I cant get a straight answer on that. But the first step would be to unplug it then replug it in and see if thats enough action to clean the contacts.
  4. So this has absolutly nothing to do with the telephone shaped dent in the front of the car
  5. Its the G sensor under the center console in the center of the car. It measures the acceleration/deceleration of the car. Its reading high, you did something to scare all the G's out of it.

  7. Ain't it. Almost worth it to flip it as someone stated on the comments
  8. https://jalopnik.com/at-2-300-could-this-1979-subaru-dl-put-a-smile-on-you-1833740024
  9. Yes and I don't know. Tomorrow it goes to the mechanic to find out. I'm having all the lines replaced.
  10. I am thinking of writing Subaru very sternly worded letter. STERNLY! 215,000 miles and I blew a flex brake line. What crap. They just dont make things last anymore
  11. Who is it coming from? Transmission, do the clutch at the same time. I think most would drup the engine and transmission together, but it can be done with the engine in the car.
  12. Sockets do go bad with time. I am guessing your cruise control may be angry too. A wheel speed sensor s not happy. Either a broken tone ring or bad sensor, A broken tone ring wont throw a code. Also those codes are not part of the OBDII system so it wont throw any code with a regular reader. Its a common fault mode.
  13. Another reason to keep my 2005 Outback
  14. I have a freind with a crosstek that roars. He called the dealership and they said "It's probably wheel bearings we see a lot of them". Hes got only 57K on the car. Doing a google search its not red flagged, but it does seem they are failing between 50-60K if they fail.
  15. Do all crosstreks seem to have a problem with pre-mature wheel bearing failure? s there a fix for it?
  16. So if you needed seat belts or tires you wouldn't replace them either? It's a saftey item.
  17. Mine was so bad I finally ended up replacing them. Headlight adjustment may be part of your issue. But I always felt my 89 Justy had better headlights then my Outbacks
  18. Well one of the reviews said he put it on a 1.8L toyota motor ...
  19. Take all advertised HP gains with a grain of salt.Too many variables to actually justify the gains on all engines. Do you have the link so we can all peek at it?
