  1. Old transmissions used to use govener/throttle pressure to make shift points, now it is all done electronically.
  2. Don't they all look like Rav 4's? http://www.caranddriver.com/news/2014-subaru-forester-spy-photos-news
  3. http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2014-subaru-forester-brochure-scans/#photo-5312125/ twin scroll turbo ???
  4. get a short enough wheelbase you could drive ontop of any rock someone else is trying to drive over
  5. Key is ground clearance, and protecting the fragile parts, like the oil pan and diff. The squirrels can't be allowed to escape.
  6. noise after the car is off ??? I dont know how long the front fans spin after the power removed, but 30 seconds is a long time. There isnt enough mass there to keep them spinning that long. Maybe you are hearing the blower motor? Everything should be off when you shut the car off. Sometimes the Duty C can get vocal, doesnt mean it is bad. Try shutting the car off in gear and let us know what happens.
  7. Why not a Geo Tracker, people do lift them and they are very efficient.
  8. Doesnt work like that, they were all lubricated as long as the engine was running.
  9. Surprsingly i feel safe in the Justy. It did pass the crash test for that year with flying colors. And i can even make the wheels spin on dry ground with the CVT. 1750 lbs wet
  10. i had a 78 civic, talk about small. But yes since we want it all, and for all of it to be safe, they do get bigger. The closest thing to a Justy is a suzuki SVX and they are almost the same size, just the suzuki is taller.
  11. NO learning curve. I would inspect the connector itself, make sure it is clean and a firm connection. And it is possible for new barts to be bad, it happens.
  12. I would just drop air pressure, and then be prepared to get yourself out if you get stuck. Also i would Since you are 2wd I would actually reconsider the spare set of tires depending upon what kind of wheelin we are talking about
  13. http://www.curbsideclassic.com/blog/cc-capsule-comparison/ Thats why i keep blu "Next to the (2008) Impreza’s poor visibility, chintzy interior, and soggy suspension, the Outback felt nimble, alive, honest, and direct. Sure it was crude, but it had more of the low-inertia fun that made compact cars great than its decade-younger “compact” cousin."
  14. Use photobucket, it is just a copy the image link and paste thing
  15. Now now this is a subaru board, not a jeep board.... Put the subaru in the pack of the Jeep and then you would have a jeep-a-roo
  16. Some jobs really pay to have a pro do it, and sooby windsheilds are chep to have installed. If you do it yourself and mess it up, it is possible to crack the glass while installing it, after it is installed, or have numerous leaks. On the plus side by third try you usually get really good at it.
  17. When someone tells you something you did not ask about, be suspicous. Were the seals done when the head gasket were done? Clean the engine top and bottom first and lest see where it is leaking and what it is leaking. this may be something very minor, so lets start there. It may even be something livable, and if not sell it yourself if it is running ok.
