i paid 500 for one with 30K miles on it that had to be brought back to life.
Big things to look for, rust and condition of the engine oil. They need frequent oil changes to keep them alive and ticking.
Why the low miles?
A gentleman at Carlisle gave me a box of FF1 parts. there are some gaskets (valve cover and 2 larger square ones)and some other part that is a cable of some kind (throttle? Choke?).
Anyone wants them contatc me, all yours for the price of shipping.
I left earlier, took the bicycle to Gettysburg. Blu got groped a lot, i had my MG lust ( so many shiney things affordable), got about 30.00 in tools and 17.00 in various wire loom stuff, and a sunburn.
Ok this is interesting.
How many miles.
That sounds more like something loose in the front end, a loose engine, first thing is get under the car with the wheels off the ground (not running) and inspect everything.
No one seriously knows how to fill a cooling system?
Lets do it properly first then go from there. As long as we are drainig it replace the T-stat and radiator cap.
Park car on levle ground
Start car
SLOWLYfill cooling system with 50/50 premix NOT TAP
when filled wait for a surge out the radiator, this will be the t-stat opening up.
Continue SLOWLY filling.
Once filled put cap on, fill overflow, drive around block let cool down.
Check levels
Repeat ONCE if needed (If more then once you have a HG issue).
Tire balance
wheel bearing
CV joint
driveshaft universal
Tie rod ends.
What caused you to rebuild a shaft, really should replace them considering the work involved.
31K on him, can't give up on it. Car running at 80% but with an open exhaust on an 89 hard to tell if that is part of the issue. Next week DMV then muffler shop
