Cool cool, I appreciate the input. These cars sell like hot cakes around here. Either way this car is a freakin beast.. I need to pay it off as soon as possible the full coverage insurance because of the loan is more than the loan itself. $200 a month for the car $208 for insurance haah what have I gotten myself into lol

Yeah but how many miles? I can pick up one of these for 6-8k with 200k on it.

Hey everybody so I just bought another subaru I wanted to get a little feedback on it.
So I picked up a Silver 03 wrx, 116k, for 11,900.
Came with:
Cobb V3 access port,
Cobb SF intake,
Rallitek sway bars front and rear,
kyb struts all around
Perrin rear shock support
new tires
drilled and slotted rotors all around
prodrive streamline rims 17"
sti turbo, cooler, and pipe
recent work on it was front wheel bearings and valve cover gaskets. and an up pipe.
Kelly blue book puts it at 10,200
carfax says add 1,500 because it was serviced regularly
I think i made out like a bandit but what do you think?
What are some things I should look for?
I have been told timing belt is a must, but other than that this car is new to me.

Thanks, I will remember that.

I see a lot of differences in sequences and torque specs that people are posting all over the web. I want to be 100 percent certain I am doing this right. I have a 94 EA82 Loyale Engine with turbo, blew a head gasket. Now I've got it apart and need to put it back together.
I need Torque Specs \ and sequence.
Is there anybody out there that can help a brother out?

The Flywheel isn't new, Came off the 85GL engine. Pins on the bearing are in good condition. Good Idea I will check the fork, see if it maybe settled in the wrong spot or something.

kf680-02 Is the clutch kit I put in it, but It doesn't tell me the MM.
-
Yeah somewhere, I will have to dig when I get home. The flywheel came off the 85GL cuz the 86 was an automatic.
-
http://www.rjes.com/html/clutch_types.html does this make sense to you? I'm confused on how I can even tell the difference lol. I suck at this.
-
Yeah car is an 85 GL, tranny came out an 86 GL just the engine is the turbo. It says my gears on the rear dif is 3.90 so I should be ok there.
-
I will have to do some research on that, just find it hard to believe only a couple millimeters would make that much of a difference. Blows my mind... looks like I will have to drop the tranny again to find out.
-
Yeah all the way down to the protective rubber covers on both sides of the fork. I'm grinding gears if I attempt to put it in gear.
-
No i didn't replace the cable, I was thinking of stacking some washers on it, kinda give it more adjustment room to see if a cable would be all I needed. I didn't install the plate backwards, I know that much at least.

Clutch issues
in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Posted
Ok guys I got a weird one. I rebuilt a 94 loyale 1.8t and stuffed it into my 86 GL wagon with the 86 5speed tranny My clutch won't engage. New clutch plate, new pressure plate, pre-existing flywheel, new clutch cable, new throw out bearing. My clutch cable is bottoming out in the adjustment and will not engage. Lend me your brains so I may rally like a mofo!
