  1. i'm sure i have one i'll scan and post soon. Qman- i get a "forbidden" warning with your link. put some clothes on that hatch and repost, please!
  2. it's the size of the barrels. primary=32mm, secondary=36mm. stock hitachi's are 28/30 i believe. the adapters from redline cast $50.
  3. sweet pics and such. were you by indian wash? i think i know where you were. i've done a lot of wheeling in moffat county, similar terrain. i just got a welded diff and i think it will help on those rocks. desert rocks are so hard and smooth your tires tend to spin before they would on pavement, in my opinion.
  4. i just want to say that i grew up there (actually in new lebanon, ny, about 10 miles from pittsfield).
  5. you need to call the your state emissions. with a vin # they can tell everything your car is flagged for/ needs to have.
  6. here's a map from delorme: http://img120.exs.cx/img120/5885/mapofmoabcopy5lf.jpg a couple trails are labeled by name, others you can find on this map by cross referencing with the moab websights
  7. it should say right on the label vlsd. right next to the gear ratio.
  8. with all the public land around there, there is no need to camp anywhere on the beaten path. most blm or usfs (lasal) land would be free to camp. canyonlands and arches national parks there would be a fee to enter and another to camp. i have an annual parks pass, but it doesn't cover camping. s'ko, those places are awesome, and your wife must see! i got tons o' maps and i'll post some good scans of the area. the 15th it is!?
  9. i suppose doing this during the week won't fly? if not than i vote april 15-17. i'd rather not wait till may just cause the later we go the more people will be out there. wasteland-when does the whitewater crowd start showing up out there? does anyone object to the 15-17th? any more suggestions?
  10. can't find a rebuild kit. the parts are still available, but depending how much is bad, this is probobly not worth doing. i'm gonna open it up and see what shakes out.
  11. Thanks ken, got the pdf. and thanks naru for the part #s.
  12. does anyone know what all is needed for parts to do this. part #s would be helpful.
  13. could somebody scan the exploded view plus any instructions (dissasembly, assembly, and especialy rebuilding the lsd) my email is meatpile@earthlink.com
  14. here's a pic: http://img97.exs.cx/img97/5169/dsc000259be.jpg
  15. there was a guy named ross from idaho on the board when it was an ezboard forum. his board name was magnificent subaru and he had a cool looking lifted three door. don't know if he's still around.
  16. howdy, neighbor. i live in lyons. there are at least 2 others on this board from longmont.
  17. is utah 3.2? there's a brewery in moab. don't tell me it's 3.2 microbrew. that would be like punk rock muzak. i'll be packing dales pale ale brewed in lovely lyons, the first CANNED microbrew. seems like a no-no but people who camp a lot should now the validity of good beer in a can. nough about beer! let's figure a date. i propose a friday through sunday event unless we here enough positive feedback for doing it during the week. two weekend dates i would propose would be march march 5,6,7 and april 15,16,17. april would give people more time to get there cars ready, march would be less crowds. what do you all think?

  19. and one last thing would be that this would be primarily for wacky wheelin' hyjinks, so get yer cars ready!
  20. here's the original post: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=27486
  21. well i dont want to steel anyone's thunder, this was brought up before in a post i shall reference below, but here's the basic idea: a bunch of offroad subaru enthusiests will decsend upon moab, utah sometime in march or april. for those that have never been to moab, i can vouch that it is a wonderful part of the world. i really mean that. the trails there range from something a stock 4wd subaru can do to "holy s**t!" i would suspect that most folks will want to camp, there is mostly blm land around the area, but if'n you need a hotel, moab has some. but you won't find much outside of there. green river is probobly more than an hour away. i say this is a great opportunity for those who can make it to bond yadda yadda with the subie brotherhood (read: bring beer). one date that has been proposed is the weekend of april 15-17. tax weekend. there are events at moab that should be avoided by us. even a midweek event would be fine, would even help us to not get in jeep folk's way. gimme feedback, but let's figure a date! don't much matter to me. in all likelyhood, i will be there a few days extra on either side, fishin and enjoyin. the weather that time of year is very unpredictable. it could be 30 or 80. go figure. let's figure a date!
  22. hey neighbor. i live in lyons. just wanted to shout out cause i saw you live so close. there's another guy on the board from longmont and a girl from loveland. anyways good luck and lemme know if you need anything.
  23. count me in for a meetup in moab. any weekend but april 2. i think if we are meeting in moab, the emphasis should be on off road. as far as family oriented, i don't care, but it is moab, so nutty offroad adventure will ultimately be the theme. there is enough different terrain around moab that i don't think you need to put "restrictions" on the trip like you were talking before in the first thread about moab. anyone with a stock subaru on up could find something that is fun to do.
