Shoot, sorry got busy with wedding plans and it slipped my mind. Don't have a good way to ship seats to Hawaii though. -

Bump. Still for sale, needing to get rid of this and all the parts cause I'm getting married later this year and need to make room for the wifey. I'm asking $2500 but im open to offers and could go lower for someone on here as I know it would be going to a good home. Here's an updated link for Craigslist. https://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/cto/d/1980-subaru-brat-with-loads/6549532494.html Thanks for looking -
Posted this in the for sale section as well. Just contemplating letting my brat go since i dont have tome to work on it anymore. https://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/cto/d/1980-subaru-brat/6319647433.html Not looking to part anything out right now. It's either everything or nothing Just seeing what kind of offers are out there right now, ive probably got more tied up in this than ill ever get out of it.

air release hold? I ran it at idle on flat ground, took it for a test drive going both up and down hills and it overheated....

Im pretty sure its a solid shaft, dont see why you couldnt bend it, but maybe see if you can get another shifter from the junkyard and see how well it will bend?

Bought a new thermostat from subaru for my 84 bra, put it in and engine started over heating. Thought maybe it was water pump, so chsnged out water pump, flushed the system and still overheats. Pulled the thermostat and ran it without one, stays cool as a cucumber. I tested the thermostat in a pot of boiling water, and seems to open and close. Didnt open far, but im unfamiliar with how much they should open. Its a 88°c thermostat, is that too high of a temp for my engine? Is there something else im missing here?

Subaru Brat Speaker Help
d8usti5n replied to ajslacker's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Speaker wires should look different than other electrical wires, theyll be thinnr and should be two wires connected (but seperated through the wire insulation. I would check the back of the speacker and see if its hooked up. If it is, then your other ends back behind the radio, so youll have to pull it out to check
