  1. My 84 book shows that fuse 13 (15amp) is for the ignition coil. If it turns over the fusible link is not blown... but the fuse for the ignition coil could be... This is from an 84 subaru service manual.... yours is similar..... check your fuse box... each fusable link is associated with certain fuses in the fuse box..... Bret
  2. My bad.... I took a quick look at schematics for FL2 (what I thought would be the middle fuseable link). I'll be more carefull....... Bret
  3. I would check all the wiring for the alt. if you go with higher fuses that will allow things to catch on fire instead of blowing the fuse..... It could be a wire rubbed thin, intermitently grounding from movement. My fusible link box is on the passenger side and says green, red, red starting from the windsheild towards the front of the car...... Bret
  4. it goes to the alt. before the ignition switch. sounds like you could have done some thing to your alt. while jumping other car..... Bret
  5. do an advanced search in the members section..... it looks there are many Utah members............... Bret
  6. She's dew for a tune-up I'll start there. I've been spending to much time on my other subi's... The wagon is ol faithfull but guess it's time to show her some appreiciation. I'll give her the whole day in the garage this weekend. THX.... Bret
  7. while car is idleing it will all of a sudden drop a cylinder or 2 & check engine light comes on... runs like c**p. Turn it off and restart it and its fine for awhile. some times it runs great then at a stoplight it will do it again. error code blamed injectors but it has all good injectors... I'm open for sugestions..... THX Bret
  8. I sent you a PM about your July 8th post with brat pics. Check it out. THX Bret
  9. Just got back from JY with subi fuel pump..... I also noticed that Volvo cars have a very thin fan that blows through the radiator from the front so I picked up one of those too. Bret
  10. It seems to that no matter what size line you run back to the tank is a moog point because once you're there the fuel still has to return thru a small pipe back into the tank. Just a thought... Bret
  11. Does anyone know which aftermarket fuel pumps can be used?
  12. What did you do with the sensor that was there on the EJ22? Isn't it needed for the ECU? Those parts & link are great. THX Bret
  13. THX for the tip on thread size.... I surely don't want to start cross theading fittings in the proximity of the oil pathways... THX Bret
  14. THX for the pic... I may be able to plumb out of there with a flex line to a TEE. Anyone esle have an idea or know of another port???? THX Bret
  15. Where is the best spot to install an oil pressure sending unit. I am putting an EJ22 into my 84 brat. It seems as thou I should be able to install the pressure sending unit from the EA81 engine so that the gauge in the brat still works and also maintain the EJ22 oil sensor for the ECU. THX Bret
  16. Noah, I sent you a PM... please give me a call. THX Bret
  17. Shawn. I am currently putting all the running gear from an 90 Legacy into my EA81 84 Brat. I am using the motor, tranny & rearend out of the legacy. It is an automatic; but the one that goes with that motor and wiring harness. Can you convert that harness for me? Also I have the complete harness with all the items conected to it.... ECU fusebox, motor compartment fuse box ETC.ETC.. how much of that stuff do I need to send with the harness??? THX Bret
