  3. Nice brat!! looks like you rhino lined all the trim and bumpers, can i get a few closer shots been thinking of doing the same thing. Buck
  4. After a few weeks of PM's and being told that this Brat was not for sale my Tenacity finally paid off!! It was a heck of a long drive to Vancouver WA yesterday evening and after taking a quick spin I handed over the cash and headed for home. The drive to Yakima went Flawlessly and I couldnt be happier.... I think most of you all know this 1986 Brat so here ya go..... I will post more photos in a few days Thanks Buck
  5. Ok this rig has been donated to my father since i have purchased another brat.....a 1986 buck
  6. I did not drive the new brat home! The seller failed to accurately describe the condition of it, he only sent me picks that did not show all the rust it had, in fact when I asked about rust he told me it had none! The bed was so bad he tried to cover it with herculiner. This is the CL ad I have an amazing 1984 Subaru Brat for sale. I do not really need to sell it, just don't have much use for it any more. This is without a doubt one of the nicest brat still in existence! It runs amazing and has all of the classic accessories. It has the roll bar, bull bar, jump seats with seatbelts, flood lights, and removable t-tops. This car has been garage kept the entire time I have owned it and I have done very little work to it. It recently had the entire fuel system replaced and a new transmission put in. The car has about 190K miles on it but the dash reads over 300K because it was replaced by the previous owner who restores cars. I recently got an oil change and the mechanic said everything was in amazing condition for a 30 year old car. This is a great summer car but it also does awesome in the snow because it has 4wd both high and low gear. He was very upset even went as far as saying that we had a verbal agreement! I even gave him 40.00 for meeting half way.... I wish people would accurately describe the condition of the vehicle they are selling, I always send pics of the problems and damage that a rig that I'm selling has to avoid this from happening. Search goes on..... Buck
  7. good looking rig bud! Buck
  8. Nope not the silver one that one was bought by a gent from BC for 4k the seller had agreed to sell it to me by the end of last week for 3k if it didnt sell. Here are the pics of some of the parts pulled from the brats in Ellensburg Junk yard, will take a few of the dash. Looks like my father is taking the 83 so only will have one. Buck
  9. Scored a perfect Dash from one of them not a single tear, front driver side fender, passenger door.... now on the door its a newer brat and doesn't have the middle molding but it looks to have the same ridge down the middle....does the strip just rivit on? Took newer seat belts, a really neat gas door, front bumper has been painted but I'm thinking of strippong it down to the plastic and Rhino lining it. Since I was there I grabbed the bucket seats, and some other odd ends. Thanks again for the tip buck I'll post pics tomorrow
  10. Crazy.....received a phone call from another brat owner that has a car for sale, and he asked if my offer was still good? This car is CLEAN and comes with factory extras i told him that i had recently purchased another brat and was not in the market "BUT" I would still be interested but for $??? we went back and forth for a bit and now I am a proud owner of a very clean brat that i will pick up this Sunday.
  11. Well the 200 mile drive home was fun, Brat drove straight and true down the road 65-70 mph no shakes but the car does have a miss during idle. The front driver side fender & passenger door will be better if replaced, trying to avoid using mud as much as possible. The t-tops do not leak....the dash is cracked so will be looking for replacement. The seats don't look like factory brat seats to me ill post pics of them tonight. thanks Buck
  12. Why? What brand are they? are they factory wheel.... Buck
  13. Fenders are fine and will not need to be replaced, the door skin should be able to be saved ill let ya know once I have a body man take a look at her.
  14. Thanks...I Figured that the $2800.00 saved will go a long way towards restoring this bad boy and I will end up with a better brat!! more pics Thanks again Buck
  15. Bought a 1983 GL see knew thread. Thanks for all the input Buck
  16. Well found a 1983 that I feel needs to be saved! It has some damage on the passenger side door and is in need of a front bumper but the undercarriage is CLEAN and the rest of the body is in decent shape, has the original 1.8 and trans that runs and shifts well. The money saved will go a long way towards restoration.....PAID $900.00 Thanks Buck
  17. Maybe but why would this guy wait for someone who may not even show? No deposit made and the seller sounds like he's hispanic....most mexicans will take the 1st person to show up with cash!! I could have gone last night, why not call me back? I called again this morning and he told me he would call me on Saturday if the guy doesn't show. Buck
  18. My Sami is sold! now I have a pocket full of cash and with money left over..... I am leaning towards the 82 myself, will offer him 3500.00 and see what happens. Buck
  19. WOW..... The owner of the 2nd brat didnt even know what year it was when i called to verify that the add read correct! Its not an 86 like the add claimed its an 84, I have to admit im a little worried now. He did how ever supply me with the Vin # and a few more pics, looks to have a bit of rust Thanks Buck
  20. Owner of 2 one text me about an hour ago, said he would take 3,000 by the end of this week if he doesn't sell. Buck
  21. I offered both sellers 3k...the owner of the 82 has told me 3700.00 is it!! Lol the owner of the 2 text me today and wanted to talk but I don't have time for him right now, I was planning to head over the mountain and drive it home today but he never got back to me last night. Thanks for all the opinions. Buck
