I measured the tires and they are same. You guys are great! I was about give up and get rid of it but I will change the duty c. Does anyone have part numbet or know where to get it? The dealer had 7 different solenoids. I also found this on eBay http://m.ebay.com/itm/251480197765?nav=SEARCH Right part? Also you recommend I drop and clean the pan? To add more detail to the picture.the front of the transmission does leak a little, the binding is worse when taking right turns and it shudders when going into gear. Now do you believe it still worth working on this transmission? Should I look into replacing the torque converter? Or clutch?

Ok did 3 drain and fills.driving a bit each time.going through all gears when draining and on the last fill I put a bottle of lucas in. Now the torque bind is much better. It still happens when I turn right.I have it in fwd and it doesnt help. Im thinking of driving for a week or so then doing another drain and fill. I will change the differential fluids this weekend.80w90 in both the front and rear? If it still binds in fwd does that mean something else is wrong besides the duty c? I only ask because im considering putting a transmission in but I am unsure since the engine had 300k.

Sorry I was posting on my phone and it posted twice. It was overfilled by a quart.no fluid blew out it just had bubbles in the fluid.it's a 93 impreza awd auto with 300k now.I changed the fluid because I just got the car and thought ut would help.yes it flashes the code for the duty c But it has been since I got it.the first fluid I drained was very black and smelt bad.The fluid I reused was in between.the whole time it was overfilled it had no torque bind but after I drained and refilled it its been very bad. No the fwd doesnt help.I was going to try refilling with new fluid

Hello my impreza is starting up strangly.it starts right up but then it bogs to 100 rmps sometimes itll shut off and I need to give it gas to start most of the time itll waver a bit then settle at 1200 rpms. It brought up the code for the tps sensor.im wondering itll be better to get a used tps or a new aftermarket. There is also a 96 legacy at the junkyard would the tps work on my impreza?

It had been changed before so I am confident it will help. I was just worried because it shifts a little hard into first which might be a different problem. For a 3 fill do I need to drain the old fluid then run it with new fluid and drain it? Or do I pour it in and just let it drain? Do I reuse the New fluid?ive also read that the filter doesnt do much and doesnt need to be replaced

Yes it is a Ej18 and I meant to say belt. Here are some pictures after I took it home and cleaned it up.I changed the oil but I am hesitant about changing the transmission oil since I've heard it can be bad in an transmission so old. The previous owner changed it at 220k 6 years ago.I https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B44CI7f93nelcUtBRXFEUG03cWs/edit?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B44CI7f93nelR1F4dkNzZHVFMGM/edit?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B44CI7f93nelS05DVENlM1V1VGM/edit?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B44CI7f93nelX05JWWJHQmlWZVE/edit?usp=sharing

Hello I am new to the Subaru world.I just bought a 93 impreza with 299k and I hope to make it another 200k.it was very well taken care of the seller had receipts for water pump, timing chain, seals, abd varies things. What should I be looking for in a car this old? I know mine needs some tranny work and some shocks.it had an oil leak out the rear of the engine but I put 10w40 with the oil change and it seemed to stop it.
