swapping a michigan motor unknown year must have been a 2 wheel dr smaller clutch both were equipped with air carb on mi motor has throttle cable on right California on left should I swap out manifold carb to the non California motor or try it as is California motor had blown head gaskets and bad cylinder walls Anybody with any experience or advice let me know thanks

Wish you lived by me I would pay you to do getting hard to craw under the dash and my eye sight ain't what it use to be I have a cherry dash to put in and my windshield is out -

I know it was just some bubbled paint to I started using a scotch brite wheel on it. Wish I Could find a wreck body and cut that roof part out. -

The car is originally from Bellingham Washington only been in Michigan a year has been drivin by me hope to never have it on the road with the sAlt all michigan brats have evaporated -
i have a pretty rust free 83 brat except for the center of the roof any ideas on how to fix hate to have to cut the whole roof off a few quarter size holes I'm thinking rust converter and fiberglass What do you all think is this a common problem

Thanks but No the headlight bezel is also called a door in the parts book right and left bezels I'm not talking about the center, passing lamp cover I think I now have the part numbers and the lens is still available at the Subaru dealer thanks -
cyclops light differences the 1980 -81 4x4 gl headlight door differ from the 1982 was wondering if the dl single headlight 1982 on we're the same as the 82 4x4 or are they all round? I have an 1982 brat cyclops eye grill seeking left and right headlight doors and can't find any that fit does anyone know? Thanks

Where you still would buy the campy from you -
when the car is at a stop engine running gas gauge read correctly volt meter about 12 volts even when I rev engine to 3 to 4 thousand rpm but when the car is moving forward or reverse any speed the gas gauge goes to full and the volt meter drops to 8 volts charging system check out fine at advance auto, but I put new alternator in anyway still doer the same thing 1983 gl brat 4 speed with weber carb conversion when the car is not moving gas gauge seems to read ok an volts go up to 12 temp gauge reads fine tach ok clock ok please help. voltage regulator is in the alternator. one way to find a vacuum leak is to take a standard propane torch turn the gas on but do not light way it near the suspected leak area and the engine speed will increase when it draws in the propane -
machine shop said they cannot shave my warped heads one is .016 out and the other is .008 out my gasket were blown anyone know what they mean? and will a 1984 fuel injected turbo heads work with out the turbo? thanks ken
