New carpet

Is it just dirty or all torn up? You could power wash it if it's just dirt. You will be amazed what scrubbing and cheap power wash or even hose can do -
Thanks for that! I was staring at the steering wheel for 30 min today contemplating on how to go about it. While I was messing around I did create something though! CREATIVE PROCESS IS DA spoob! LIMITED "OEOE" EDITION: Special steering compass which points toward anywhere you are going! You have to trim the clips, thats it. Here are the seats by the way! Center council broke so.. JB WELD You gotta trim the WRX carpet and take out some of the padding for the center council to fit Tested the kicker panel thing with the original grey carpet. What do you guys think? The cloths on the doors will be reupholstered dark grey so I think I need to make them the same as my carpet. Sorry for all the pics but I'm having fun time sharing and figure this will make it much less intimidating for the next newbie. Didn't get much done today but I did just score on craigslist! Free 08 STI speakers and head unit! I'm going on a little vacation across the island to pick them up. This is my daily by the way! 2001 Miata special edition, 6 speed with lsd rear w/koni yellows and ground control coil overs.

Okay ya'll, let me just first say, I'm not trying to revolutionize intercooler locations but looking at the car today in prepping for turbo motor, I started thinking.. 1) if I want to keep the a/c, theres like NO room for a front mount unless from what I see, I take off the front bumper beam all together. 2) Top mount can lead to heatsoak, which could be a big problem for my autoX desires. So this is what I was thinking, how about installing a hood scoop the the front part of the passenger side hood? Like right where the stock n/a air box would sit? Theres no motor sitting under it to heatsaok too bad, and there is plenty of space. The scoop would be off center of course but I don't really care. I am really looking to do a small intercooler which will support no more than like 250whp. Spool is important too so thats also why I want a smaller one. The other two ideas were mounting it near the bottom of the engine with a up scoop or since my drivers side fender is so busted anyway, just cutting a scoop there? I'd appreciate your opinions.

Just wanted to share my new project!1990 Subaru Legacy 5speed awd. Turns out someone put some freakin sealant into the engine and it needs to be replaced. Picked it up for $500 with $300 in back taxes What I thought was a blown head gasket was… BLOWN MOTOR New wheels! Bigger than my 5.5inch steelies! stock seats were way gone so I picked up some 04 WRX front and back seats with carpet and steering wheel for $300! Seats were dirty so took em off and power washed. 100 zipties for front and back!!! SOrry no more pics 04 WRX carpets fit pretty well but gap between backseats and door TEST FIT! GOTTA FIX THIS! I was thinking about making a little cubby. Well since I found out my motor is blown I've decided to swap in a turbo motor! I also picked up 04 STI suspension which is basically bolt on so I'm getting set for autoX and maybe some RALLY! LOL :jump:

My 90 n/a has a blown motor, how's this?? My transmission seems fine but since my linkage is blown I figured this would be worth it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Subaru-Legacy-Impreza-JDM-EJ20G-Engine-EJ20-Motor-Turbo-Long-Block-Trans-92-93-/321377470088?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4ad3970688&vxp=mtr

Oh wow that doesn't sound good! The car had maybe like one gallon of gas when I bought the car and I filled it up with fresh gas. I thought that would have been good enough.. The weird thing was that the screw under the gas tank was loose and dripping when I got home. I think that the someone dumped the old gas but I am not sure. I put in Marvel Mystery Oil as recommended by someone in the gas too.. This is worrisome..

UPDATE: Cleaned the PCV hoses and it runs MUCH better. The idle is not at 500 any more but around 800 or 900. It is still missing though.. Also, milky oil on the dip stick.. Smoke out the back, looks like bad head gasket or head. I have removed the intake, battery and washer fluid tank and am ready to do whatever I have to do to fix it. The rear seal does not look like it is leaking much so unless I have to replace the whole motor, my plan is to repair or get a new head and fix the cam seal, valve cover and oil pan. I am researching my options on new head as the current one might be unsalvageable. On another note, I picked up my 04 STI spring and struts along with later model Legacy wheels. 04 WRX interior going in this weekend too!

I just degreased the engine bay and under the engine. I will try to get under it tomorrow. I checked my oil dipstick and found milkiness. But that said, I have been spraying so much water and cleaner stuff that I would not be surprised if water made its way through the valve cover gaskets and into the engine...(I could see air bubbling from the valve cover gasket) I will clean out the pcv pipes and valve tomorrow. I'll make sure to take a bunch of pics.
