  1. I'm interested. Will you be making a strut bar and mounts for a stock car, or to fit around your IC?
  2. I have one in Ohio if you can't find one locally. No clue on the shipping though.
  3. MegaSquirt. http://www.bgsoflex.com/megasquirt.html http://www.msefi.com/index.php Build it yourself or buy one assembled: http://www.glensgarage.com/
  4. 1. Head gaskets are only an issue on overheated or overboosted TURBO motors. 2. Here: http://68.178.49.203/jon/SubaruEA82-ServiceManualPart1.pdf and http://68.178.49.203/jon/SubaruEA82-ServiceManualPart2.pdf 3. Recommended every 60k miles. OEM belts last longer, but they should definitely be re-tensioned at regular intervals. See #4. 4. NOT an interference engine. If a belt breaks the engine won't run. No internal damage.
  5. Only errors... Try: http://www.finleyweb.net/JonsStuff/SubaruDocumentation/tabid/54/Default.aspx
  6. I acquired a set of new stock wagon shocks mated to the Honda front springs for a lift in the rear. The springs are waaay too stiff and pre-compressed for the stock-spec shocks, and their seals are already blown. I'm looking for longer shocks that will fit the stock mounting points and work nicely with the taller and stiffer Honda springs for lifted on/off road use. Anybody know of something off the top of their head?
  7. FWIW, I filled my 200k mile RX diff with AMSOIL 75W-90 gear oil only and have had no issues or chatter and perfect operation with over 40k miles and plenty of off-roading, launches, and other abuse.
  8. I was. The wagon in the video belonged to iluvdrt at the time, I still had my white RX.
  9. shouldn't be hard to figure out which is mine... u-toob
  10. This was a baseline run. I have an AWIC, spyder manifold, cams, TD04, injectors, all custom exhaust, Blaster2 coil, etc that will get installed when I have the time and funds for misc bits. Also, spark plugs are new but cap and rotor are probably due for replacement. Just got back from sand dunes and haven't gotten around to swapping the suspension back to normal. I had two runs in normal, and one in low range (RX ~19%) to see what happened. I'm waiting on all three of my charts, but I think there wasn't much difference between HI/LO. I'm certainly no expert, but my thinking goes that the larger tires would effectively take away torque in relation to diameter differences. Low range with the big tires is about the same as stock tires, and HI/LO didn't matter much to the dyno. So perhaps the max numbers can still be calculated fine, but the curves would be different.
  11. I won the low score contest on dyno day! Baseline run with stock CCR EA82T with about 50k miles (1.8L, 7.7:1 compression, VF7 turbo, 7psi boost, no IC installed, 92 octane) K&N drop-in, nos downpipe with ~50k, gutted rear cat, Dynomax SuperTurbo 2.25" muffler 96 awhp and 112 awtq. only 17% off the rated crank numbers. This was also with 215/70 Blizzaks which have a diameter about 16% bigger than stock. I don't know if that would effect torque delivery/measurement.
  12. There was SERIOUS noise and metal flake/chunk action. Do you think the innards would be in acceptable condition?
  13. Short: It is toasted. I'm tossing it into a scrap body for extra weight. Are there any exterior bits that anyone wants? Long: Tranny from a 88 RX was in severe front-end collision. It is toasted. Lots of whining, crunching, gear oil was probably half metal by weight. I put about 1000 miles on it (including off-roading) after the accident for a family vacation. Thought I lost 1st and 2nd gears until I found them. Speeds over 100 mph, starting in 3rd gear at mucho rpms, etc So are there any sensors/switches/whatever that anybody wants for the cost of shipping?
  14. Drove 4000 miles in 6 days. Some lame videos of me driving on "closed" mountain passes and cruising Moab after curfew. Scenery pics aren't up yet. Better descriptions forthcoming. YouTube
  15. Heading to sis's place in Parachute for a few days. I'm driving my GL-10 RX wagon from Ohio with brother and a puppy. I-70 all the way. Should be staying in Denver saturday evening, heading thru the mountains Sunday morning, heading home from Parachute weds evening. I forget the Denver address right now, but it's kinda between the first Chipotle and Bonnie Brae ice cream. Will be hitting some slopes and a day trip to Moab, itinerary not full. I messed up my knee last year, so I have to find something else to do while they are snow boarding (Sunlight I think).
  16. Your link didn't go to the radiator... Turbo and non-turbo don't matter for the radiator. Just get a 2-row.
  17. I used that exact kit on my turbo RX. I only got about 10k miles before I wrecked the car, so I can't say how long the chinese parts will last (but they did work just fine).
  18. Excellent, thanks for the scan. I did mess with those bolts some when trying to line everything up. Now I need the proper alignment numbers...
  19. Last summer I put all stock RX suspension gear onto a GL-10 wagon. I swapped over RX front gear, rear gear, tranny, LSD, etc, and XT6 20mm bars at the same time. The rear end is very low (less than an inch tire gap), ugly skyward rake (lights can't aim correctly), nasty camber (only the inside half of tires touch pavement). Did I bolt in parts crooked? Most of the stuff required good force to get the bolt holes lined up. Is the wagon that much heavier? Worn bushings?
