My 2000GT automatic is nearly due for the 60K mile service. There is a long list of items on the dealer's generic check list for all Subarus (many items are marked "where applicable"). At $500U.S. it seems a bit steep for things many of which are just indicated as "inspect", "check" etc.. One unknown to me is "add BG MOA and 44K". Anyone have an idea what this means? Is this a simple math problem of "addition" or are there actually products to be inserted somewhere into the car?? What are the prices in your area for these services and am I better off at a good local mechanic?

D.....rats! I just examined the car and see what you mean. I suppose a sawzall might remedy the situation though. Thanks for the insight across continents.

I have a 2000 Legacy GT and would like to know if there is any way to allow the rear windows to be lowered all the way. There seems to be a limit set that prevents the window from being lowered past half way. I make it a habit of not letting suicidal passengers ride in the rear seat and do not fear for potential jumpers. I live in Connecticut but noticed recently in a rental car in sunny Florida that this was not the case on that car.

The guys who did my car used a variety of metal prods and "pushed" or better put "romanced" the dents out. They were either the Dent Doctor or Dent Wizard. The result as I stated briefly in the earlier post was great. He went over the entire car and removed nearly all the mishaps.

It worked great for me with some fairly substantial dents. In my case it was a 2000GT with the newer glossy paints so go for it!!
