How do you mount to the engine? Sunk in screws? -

Car Was Running Fine Now Won't Start
comatosellama replied to jread's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I've been having troubles like that lately, if my brat wont start I just go and shake the battery and twist the negative terminal and then it works. -
No metal shop at my high school. I was thinking machine shop too, was just worried about the price. Do you have the strut topper scans handy? Would be much appreciated

Will 2nd Gen BRZ Ever Happen?
comatosellama replied to MR_Loyale's topic in BRZ and its Sister the Scion FRS/Toyota GT86
There's also minimal marketing, where as scion advertises them a lot. I think subaru runs a lot on word of mouth/ return customers. I'll be buying from them no matter what unless I need a real truck. -
Underage so that'll have to wait, lol. 45 dollars for the 2 hole saws though... Might be worth having someone else do it, especially since I'd never use those again
-
You have the dual range lol, I'd say that makes up for 30hp. It'll be both for sure. Rust on the body, most can be converted sealed and painted for now. Underbody is pristine. Even the filler neck! But I mean this is a car that will probably be turned using it's doors, so body panels being straight isn't too much of an issue. Rust is bad though.

Dual bolt pattern (5x100, 5x114.3) 17's would love some steel wheels with tires, if anyone wants to trade!
-
I trust myself to weld up the other bits, which can have the links break (I'm planning on a hassey style lift) and still be safeishkinda. But if the strut toppers break that's bad news. Also, how does one go about cutting a 4.25 inch hole in 1/4 inch steel?

So I got tired of having a sedan... And traded it for this. 1995 impreza L. Tonight it gets the lift, if I can get the keys for the wheel locks (abnormal interior key) Plans: Make a floor thing for the back (over the spare tire area in the back) EJ22, ASAP. Holy gutless batman! 110hp is so little 4-5" spacer lift Get it off those 17's (anyone wanna trade? Appear to have semi slicks on) Some nice bumpers 5 speed dual range (I have a 4sp if anyone wants to trade, lol) Short throw (aka welding a piece of metal in between the shifter linkage and the ball)

I'm going for 5 so.... Any idea where I can get good strut toppers? I was thinking scott maybe brian

All the connectors are on your intake manifold. Just swap that onto your new engine. If you have egr on this engine make sure to get an engine with one. If you want some serious balls get a 2.5 block and put the heads and intake on there. Cometic makes a special gasket for it. It'll scoot along just fine. You'll need high octane gas though

While we're on topic.... Do you have to angle the strut toppers on these like you do on an ea81?
-
I think most people on here count lift in the height of the lift blocks if you have them. Also fozzy struts shouldn't be 4 inches, like 2-3. Maybe 4 before they settle down
