  1. I wonder if the fozzy xt got those... Throw an arb air locker in on a lifted fozzxt.. I can only dream
  2. thought the R180 was the sti diff, and r160 was normal and wrx?
  3. I honestly kinda prefer FIS. Owning a RZR has made me completely biased to it. Welded rear and a clutch type LSD front on a roo would be pretty nice. I've always wanted to throw a rzrs suspension and axles and diffs in a brat. I've never had a problem keeping up with solid axle buggies.
  4. Struts would be the problem. I was thinking maybe an A arm to go into the normal strut receptacle, and then a coilover of some sort mounted in the upper wheel well, something like an ea82 rear.
  5. I know I'm incredibly late, but I wanna say that brat is absolutely beautiful
  6. The engine would be where it normally is. The suspension and steering bits would be moved down and forward.
  7. I'm talking move where all of the things are mounted, except for the strut towers. Which I didn't think through. I think that'd be the only real problem
  8. You have any pics of what that'd look like? I'm planning on taking taking out the A/C, my blower motor doesn't work anyway lol. Manual tranny. What does the ADV line do? Or is there a diagram I can work off of? All these acronyms and stuff is confusing.
  9. Seems like if you're going to make a subframe and drop the original one, you could offset it a few inches forward. Would make your approach angle 0 and let you climb up vertical walls. Anyone done this? Theoretically you could do this to the rear axle as well, but would probably look funky as heck. Anyone ever done it? Only issue I can see is steering, and if you use too thin walled material, bending. Thoughts? Opinios?
  10. If you guys ever see a green 02 impreza ts in the midwest, I'd be amazing if you could check out the vin and let me know if you see JF1GG 65542 G8124 18 that would mean the world to me
  11. When I totaled my imp I didn't even notice crumple zones. Ran into the back of a stopped yaris at about 50. Airbags and the bumper supports being bent were the only real damage. So I can't really speak to the crumple zones on it lol. But I was fine, only injury was a burn from the airbag. So I'd say your impreza is safe as all hell. don't really know the safety of the old gen. The yaris wasn't very happy though lol
  12. I mean if you really wanted to go for it, strip it down, prep it for por15, take pics before of everywhere, apply por15 and a airtight layer of paint (rustoleum), and take pics after, then send them to por15. If the chassis ever rusts again, they give you the money to replace it.

Just wondering what tubes I really need. Deleted and capped the egr yesterday. Weber should be here in a few days.
  14. You might be able to find someone that would dip the car, factory style. Chassis rust would be a thing of the past
  15. Amazing work dude. How much have you spent on POR? That stuff ain't cheap
  16. Replacing, Got a fe free struts from my friend, figured may as well make them work
  17. I live in michigan, so there's no emissions to speak of. Any idea how much getting a y pipe made would be?
  18. Step 1: Cut the wishbone out of you old ea81 shock. I cut the metal circle twice, knocked that off, cut out some rubber, used a hammer to bash the metal back and stripped the rubber off Step 2: Take new strut (both sides have to be eyelets) and put it in a vise, clamp towards where you're putting this, metal is solid up there Step 3: Lubricate. Put grease everywhere, inside the eyelet on the wishbone. step 4: Take vise grips and grap the circle part very tightly Step 5: Work the tip of the wishbone into the hole Step 6: Hammer the wishbone in Finished product is attached
  19. So taking those off and taking and blocking off the egr would suffice? Or could I just remove these
  20. Picture attached. I need to know if the thing that's pointed to comes off, and where I can get one if it does. My current exhaust is welded to it. Pic isn't mine
