I found the biggest upgrade for my lights was spending a day wet sanding them with 600 grit then 2000 grit and topping off with a clear coat. Made the car look brand new and the headlights are much better now. took me maybe 3 hours and $16. About once a week i wipe them with wd-40 to keep them nice and clear. I think i use the 2nd "best" sylvania bulb but the cleaning was the real upgrade

Installed the outback bar tonight, got the exact result I was looking for. Car is way tighter around corners and feels way better on the highway. Will do mounts soon

Seems like I just need a lil more confidence. Started increasing steering output even when the car leans, and as long as I keep the balance kosher it sticks to the road. We’Lo see what drop brackets and sway bar add. IIRC it made a big difference on my 96 on outback struts

Thicker=less body roll= what I’m goin for. Maybe it’s just me but I can’t stand the feeling of my rear end floating in a corner. Maybe I just need to put it back down for the summer. Used to handle very similar to a new mazda3 hatch, now it’s like an f150.

Stock Impreza is 13mm http://www.mainelysubarus.com/forums/topic/2976-stock-sway-bar-size-list/ Stock outback is 18mm http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/swaybar-faq-134646.html Cheapest sway upgrade ever.

Sometimes you gotta though, and I’d rather not feel like I’m gonna die if I need to do some emergency driving. I’ve got a 97 outback swaybar on the way, hopefully that’ll tighten it up

Not looking for rails, just looking to settle the car down, if I brake mid corner it feels like I’m gonna flip

Seems that the downward angle reduces the effectiveness of the sway bars, since my rear one definitely doesn’t do the job anymore. A longer link would bring it back to stock angle. My car doesn’t have spacers, just got 05 FXT struts and springs

Finding different length sway bars for lifted cars is veeeery hard unless you wanna spend the big bucks at primitive. Was wondering what the consequence of using this style link in the front would be. The newer models use them, so I figure the idea can’t be that janky.

What an odd looking turbo -
Was looking for skidplate designs to "borrow" and found these, and hadn't seen anyone mention them. http://get-primitive.com/wheels-rally-race-street/466-team-dyn-15x7-5x100-matte-blk.html Expensive, but easier than drilling or finding pugs. Note: I'm not affiliated with them in any way.

Planning on buying an outback this saturday, and have a couple questions 1. Do strut blocks have to be angled on EJ cars like with the EA cars? Looking to do probably 4 inches. I've seen some camber bolts from eibach that offer up to 1.75* of adjustment. Would that be enough? 2. Have any of you guys clearanced your bumpers on an outback? I'm looking to do something like on the GC imprezas where you cut off the lower half. Looking to see some pictures before I start cutting. I was also debating trying to find a legacy bumper that would look good chopped, as I've heard legacy and outback bumpers will swap. Thanks - CL

If "rodding it out" is what I think it is, he did that without welding. Just pop off the o2 sensor cover, stick in a breaker bar or screwdriver, and just bang it around til it's empty. -
