I can't see any wires under the seat other than electric seat power. Does anyone know if the factory ships them with the wiring?

I have had a 2002 LL Bean H6 for 9 years. It has been a great car and like the extra zip as compared to the 2.5's. It is a bit more expensive bear to run as used parts are less prevalent than the 2.5 model. AC compressor, different, alternator, different etc. Little things like the rear muffler ain't cheap to replace. On the flip side, the engine is solid though and has less HG issues. Front bearings need a bit more maintenance like the tensioner etc, but those are all exposed. The engine has a timing chain with like 100 nuts to undo if you need to change the h20 pump or timing chain guides. Usually they don't need to be done till after 200 K, but you are there. As long as you get it for the right price, you will enjoy it though. I have hauled a light snowmobile, small boat etc, but would advise if you are hauling something heavy beyond the range of the h6, use a truck. You don't want to damage the trans or get in bad position because you were trying to do something way out of the box.

I just finished putting an engine in a 2002 subaru outback wagon. I have a extra pair of heated seats and the switches the same color and wonder if anyone knows if there is wiring for the heated seats already under the seat.

I am doing pure maintenance here before I send it down the road with my daughter. I did 1 1x drain and fill so far . Then I wait a week and do another mostly cause of my schedule. That seems to do the trick. I have not 3 drain and fills before. Conceptually, I get it, but just have never really done it. Maybe I will try with this one. I have never done the flush deal where they pump it out.

I was at the dealer getting a recall for the passenger airbag done and they were pushing an auto trans service which is essentially a drain and fill. But they were saying they do a relearn / reprogram of the trans when they do a the service. Is there anything to this?

Holy smokes. Then which part number would I use for my 2005 2.5 10 mm replacement oil pump? I am not real clear, but want to make sure I and others moving forward are as well.

So the right rear window will not lower or raise. Tried it from the front switch and the RR door switch. nothing. Is that a motor you think?

Yup, one electric window not working. One kinda sticky outside door handle and the interior finish doesn't hold up as well as my 00-04's. Not bad though, got it for $750. It will need two rear wheel bearings, head gaskets etc. But really clean outside and pretty clean inside.

so ,when doing the hg work replace the 7mm pump to a 10mm even at 155k on the clock?

Has 155k and is in decent shape. Looks like it needs HG work and possible a leaky power steering pump and some rear tires or bearings. Does anyone else know if there are any other good or bad issues with this series as this in new territory for me. Thanks in advance

You can move the wire from one cylinder to another to see if the code follows the cylinder. Then you know it was a wire. It could be coil going bad. Those are easy to swap and not very expensive.

Is there an easy way to add key-less entry to this non-key-less entry model?

We did get a replacement from a parts yard, but the spindle retaining nut was not on it and I didn't think it was a big deal until the one I tried to remove from teh bad unit would not come off due to a damaged thread.

My son and i were working on his 96 subaru legacy wagon today. Put a new hood on and went to replace the rear wiper motor assembly as it was done for. When taking off the drive spindle retaining nut which is under the wiper arm, we couldn't get the nut to come off the final threads. We were using 23 mm deep socket and it was just spinning forever on the last mm of threads. We tried everything. Finally had to hack saw it off. Now we are tying to find a replacement and the hardware store is not helping. Any one know what size the and thread it is? I will take the motor with me tomorrow, but kind of need the wiper motor sooner than later.

I had the exact same thing and it was the the short shaft between the axle and the trans that was bad. Thought it was a bad tranny cuz the whole car was lurching around, but was the short shaft. I see your front wheel spinning and the right wheel going. That would fit.

Put it up on a lift and try to turn the front wheels while in park. Could be a broken short shaft ( between the axle and trans.)
