Hello all, I'm new to the subaru world. I have a '95 Impreza wagon. When I bought it the guy told me the brakes needed bled. It does not have ABS, and has drums on the rear. I found where he had put a new wheel cylinder, and hard line on the left rear. I bled it with a vacuum pump bleeding machine, and found no air in it, and the fluid is clean. I bled it criss cross like they recommend, but it made no difference. The pedal goes almost to the floor and doesn't seem to pump up if you give it a stroke or two either.. I took it to a
indy garage and he pressure bled them and found no air and it didn't help. I've noticed on ebay there are beefed up braces for the master cylinder that are for the sport models. My question is this,, could there be something wrong with the master cylinder mounting giving the pedal way too much play?? The car stops, but haven't tried it in a panic stop yet. We have snow now so I don't go very fast, but would like to fix this. Any help would be appreciated. THX
