CHEAP '78 Wagon on E BAY !!
cricket replied to Esteban32696's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
I can't add another wagon to my two already. But I do want the interior. The seller says the interior is "ratty" but he didn't say (or I didn't ask) the rear seat is missing. I think the seat is folded forwarded and it just looks like it's missing. Ennio -

Very cool. You'll notice the wagon is parked behind the limo line near the AA counters.

77 wagon on ebay. Low miles.

I NEED that interior. Wow! -
http://hometown.aol.com/enniodiaz/myhomepage/photo.html http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photo....php?photo=7273 Fun trip from Houston to Colorado Springs and back. Drove 2200 miles in two days. Two months after my disastrous and mysterious loss of an entire wheel assembly in Colorado Springs, the wagon finally makes it homes. I can't say it was uneventful though.

Wow! $999, and I'm giving my 1978 AZ wagon, stick, away? (ahem, a mere 183 miles from Flagstaff!). -

$280 in labor later (never mind the cost of parts!), the fine folks at Colorado Springs pepboys have finished rebuilding the rear wheel of my 79 DL 4WD. I plan to pick it up the weekend of July 23. I'm seriously considering a trailer this time (versus tow bar). I keep hoping this would NEVER happen again, but it's a 1979 vehicle so who am I to say. By the way, someone here wanted the 1978 DL 2WD I have in "storage" (the new Herbie movie comes to mind) in Dolan Springs AZ. Still there, big sad eyes. Any interest? Later, Ennio

What exactly are you looking for?

I might as well stretch my trailer for two Subarus. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4556803048&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:MT:1

Heads up -- wagon on Craigslist
cricket replied to cricket's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
I have no personal knowledge of the condition. See the old ebay listing. Or call the PO, ask him questions, tell him what's going on. I'd use a trailer. (See post about my trip to CO!). Please don't rip it apart. A donation to the board would be nice. -

I'm thinking about buying some parts
cricket replied to cricket's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Todd, do you have the drum and maybe some extra pads as well? Thanks, Ennio -
I listed my 1977 2WD DL wagon on Phoenix's Craigslist. It's listed at $500 ( ). If anyone here wants it, it's free subject to: you have to pick it up in Dolan Springs AZ (like, soon), I'd like to be reimbursed the $100 I've spent so far (in the next, say, 20 years or so), and you're actually going to restore and not part the wagon. Thanks, Ennio

Front bumper brackets of "historic" 4WD
cricket replied to cricket's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
The 78 2WD is in Dolan Springs. I'm willing to pass it on, but only whole. It's at a junkyard where I saved it from parting out. The yard is storing it for $25 per month. The yard is at 9144 W. Pierce Ferry Rd. Dolan Springs Arizona, between Kingman Arizona and Hoover Dam Nevada. The phone number there is 928-767-0001. I'm emailing you photos. Thanks, Ennio -
I'm thinking about buying some parts
cricket replied to cricket's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
I spoke with the PB guy today. A tech took a look and came up with a list of parts (none of which they have been able to find!): --rear outer wheel seal (?? bearing?) --rear inner wheel seal (maybe I misunderstood, is there such a thing?) --half shaft (I don't think I need this if all I want is to get the wheel rolling) --spindle nut "kit" (my guess is this is the nut plus the cotter pin) --shoes (again, I don't think I need these just to get rolling, but I did shave them down when I dragged the wagon off the street) Can someone post a blow up /cut away of the rear wheel assembly? Thanks, Ennio. -

Great. Anyhow, I think the plate can be hammered straight. I just want the wagon to roll to Houston. Thanks.
