  1. i just happend to come acrost some parts books so i have 68, 360, FF1 72 stage one- 75. 77-79, 81 82 and 86-88 so if you have a question about part numbers in these years let me know...
  2. Just turn them both in the same direction that would look good. bigger tires might not be a bad idea.
  3. not to shure if i would drive all that way to leave a blige pump....
  4. yea it will probably stay in Bozeman.... as to the plan its got to go Hatch/brat. ive never made a 4in lift but ill give it a go. (made an 8in kit that worked out well. budy never finished the drive train so components are still untested but we made it from 2x8 square stock with 1/4 walls so it think it aught to hold up) ill have to get a rear wall from a brat. thinking the gen1 brat might be a better option but will measure it up and see. six lug wheels(as there cheep and easy) lsd rear twin stick ebrake...
  5. ej22 twin turbo motor. sti 6 speed trany with DOG gears bone stock wheels all in an 85+ hatch,
  6. Well i was going to go all micro car but well the subaru gods have seen otheri wise. not to say im not getting a 360 sometime soon i hope but look at what the gods drop in my lap. (pix to follow) $100.00 1987 GL Hatch Red. 165k, obivousely ea81 dr4speed. $25.00 found my 1700GPH bilge pump. $300.00 HOBART 140. MIG welder for 200 off the lowest price i could fined so i guess ill have to build an offroader........... im thinking something small for now......
  7. part numbers for 78 are as follows. LH Lower 661247370 RH LOwer 661247360 apperars the pass side is still avalible for 45.00 or so from subaruparts.com applications crossed teh model year so you should be able to use any hinge from any subaru pre79 and post 77, except for the Hard Top. they have a differnt part number. anyway hope that helps. let me know if you need any other part numbers.
  8. i would assume 81 brats would have the same hing as they are gen1 lower hinge drivers side )RH) 661247371 lower hinge pass side(rh) 661247361 subaruparts.com has one of them but the 371 nuber is showing as soming else. ill check my 78 manual later and see what it has for part numbers.
  9. huh thats cool i got a couple of those a few differnt ones must be for differnt motors.
  10. here here on the front hub band wagon. here is any easy way to tell. get someone to drive the car (well try and drive it) in 2wd while you are out side with the hubcaps off look at the big nut in the center of the wheel if it is spinning on one side or the other but the car isnt moving then you have found your striped hub. and you should be able to get a hub from the board here or your local pick a part for 5.00 or so...
  11. so what your saying is this thing needs a ride east?????????????????????????? andrew get in touch with me, that is if its the andrew out east...

  16. did an 8in lift on a budys 84 GL. it is not supose to look like that. yess there is lots of beating (dosnt make it move much ) anyway i would say your stut tops are wrong.................... if you have a welder and a chop saw its way easy to make them...
  17. Just wondering how many people would be interested in powdercoated valve covers for ea82 ea81, ive got a bunch of both and if there are enough people interested in doing it i will look into a groupe deal... i was thinking of black, white, blue, possibley pink, anyway let me know
  18. kinda funny story... i was trying to get a lego nut off and couldnt had just broken my S&K 1/2 braker bar. well in walks the snapon guy. and i said ill buy your bigest 1/2 impact gun if it will take this off. well he started drolling and ran to the truck, outcome 110lb s of air pressure. snapon gun just sat there and rattled. it was funny to see the look on his face... so i took a die grinder and cut the nut up and off it came.
  19. is that the way a lego tells you there are trany code? my svx flashes the power light if i have trany codes? just wondering if its just flashing you a code.
  20. look at the brat on ebay right now.... any rust is to much for a 78 79,,,,
  21. looks kinda ruff. not worth more then 500. imho. maybe ifyour in the rust bucket country its worth more....... seams like for 1300 you could find a rust free one.................... kinda funny on the rust deal. here in montana i see brats and wagons that have been parked for 5+ years out in the open with less rust....
  22. its funny to hear people lecturing ozy the advantages of teh dr trany,,,,,,,,,
