  1. hum if i sold my split tailgate then i would only have 1 splittailgate left. hum no i like things in 2s, there may be parts availge from the 1 split tailgate wagon when i strip it. as its in very bad shape in some areas(rear gate is crushed,
  2. the acrono sounds nice i remmber seeing a special on the USSR's they were huge. the thing that makes ground affect relly cool is that the induced drag is almost absent so its very effishant. (sorry just woke up and cant spell yet)
  3. ok so reading on lots of other boards(nasioc and others) ive heard it mentioned to put ej18 heads on the ej22. its supose to raise compression to 11.5 to 1, here is my question. who has done this and could you run it on reg gas if the comp is raised that fare? i guess teh ej18 has roller cams and what not. anyway. what you think.
  4. no rust around the rack but some under the rear pass window in wagon part. im going to fix that stuff and find a new door for the rear drivers side. i think ill find new stuff for the front at least there isnt any bad rust in the fenders or frame:)
  5. ok so check this out could this milage be true 40k on the car. here is the only reason i think it might be... 1 it sat for the last 5 years in a guarge 2 the body is clean for teh most part 3 the rear seat, headliner and trunk area door panels and lower dash look brand new. front seats have covers on them not shure whats under neath when i mean nice i say the rear seat looks like its never been sat in ever.... orig floor mats look new to. oh yea im the third owner, first owner owned 1 year secound owner had it upuntill today.(owner passed away so i cant get the story from them)
  6. i think i will do the same im going to do it up with custom paint and i think ill acsent the body line with the paint not the molding.
  7. i would think i can come up with one, if somone else cant. can you take a pix of it ill also check in my parts book for interchange.....

  12. Ive been around gen 1s alot so i feal stupid asking this question but hay ive keept them stock up untill now. so here gos what can i do to put gen 2 enki wheels on a gen 1 car. the offset is all wrong and the tires rub on the fenders. what other wheels are people using. ive found another set of these wheels so i may use them but i like the enkies http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/80s/wheels2/13-alloy-70s-soob-a.jpg
  13. hi im looking for a front spoiler for the first gens. i know there was a company that made some just wondering if anyone has any?? thanks
  14. i did some meaureing on my 89 gl 10 and my svx. dont have the measurements handy but when the cars were side by side the front of the motor would have been into the front bumper. width would be a squease but duable. its just way long i bet you could do it easyer if you made it a rear wheel drive..
  15. i wonder if thats a justy distributer. if you could find a pix of the doner car then it would be easyer to find out what model that is in the usa. awsome swap. i think i would have kept the comp though...
  16. anyone have pix of the factory and the lone star ac system, i found a 76 that has ac on it under the glove box there is a little deal that says ac by subaru but the ac comp mount looked hack..... ps very nice suby. did you ever get the set of decals???
  17. ok so im thinking of doing this to a wagon i just bought. its an 78 wagon. very near mint and all but the motor is tired. here is what i was thinking.. ej22 dr 5speed i will use the orignal dash and wiring for the most part and will run two wiring harnesses one for th motor and one for the car. i was thinking about just moding the legacy wiring to work with everything but am unshure if i want to takel that bizash. anyway. i know fitment will be close and may require some frame mods to the front also it will need custom trany mount and what not. anyway what you do all think......
  18. what is a thin case motor im not familer with the term:rolleyes: oh and dos this mean that you can easly change from top to side mounted starter its always looked this way to me but ive never checked....
  19. well i have yet to use any kind of silicon on my 8 water pump replacements ive always used oem subaru gaskets and cleened the serfaces good. one thing is they there can be no water or moisture near the gasket when you put it on. once its torxed it will work fine but untill its torqed it will be distroyed by water or moisture..... anyway good luck and let us know how it transpires. (oh yea thats 8 differnt cars not the same one..)
  20. there is an f10 in a yard not fare from here hum might have to have a look at the mirrors to see if they would work on my wagon..... you know fender mirror s like the jap cars....
  21. the pix will look much better each pix of each page is 600kb so the quality is max for fitting it on a cd,,,
  22. here is a little teaser pix of what ive been working on.. ( just scanning not acual working on this vehicle...) http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=7168&sort=1&cat=500&page=1 should be able to fit the entire manual. van truck sedan sedan automatic and young on one cd...
  23. there are 2 of them floating around the owners of the 360 club. one was owned by subaru3 for a while. it is probably the hardest subaru to find parts for. remeber it has inboard brakes (on the trany end of the drive shafts.) there were 3 of them in the south somewhere (mossens????) that a guy had but they all went to the crusher as they were rusting apart at the seams probably more metal gone then left. there is a trunk for one in walla walla washington but thats a s close as ive found. i keep thinking ill run acrost one here in mt as there are tons of gen 1 cars. case in point.. in town 76. 77, 78x5, 79x7+ 74, 73x3 those are the years and quantitys ive found just on my daily drives + 2 360 vans in helena..... theres got to be some around somewhere.
  24. check these out, the guy is relly nice. if anyone is in the area you should get in touch with him and see these... http://littlecartrader.com/sub660Sambar.html enjoy
