so will this work on legacys also. like a 91-94 legacy?? if so hummm -
gen 1 brats were the only ones (some 81 i think) that came with a dualrange in the gen 1 bodys(stage 2 i think its called) the trany is a dual range 4speed with the 4wd shifter INFRONT of the 5speed shift not behind like the 80-84 hatches and brats that had the 4wd shifter back by the ebrake handle.. 81 brats also could have the ea81 with a top center mounted starter so its the only ea81 that would just bolt into an early trany with the center mount starter.

kinda funny how this car reminds people of everything BUT a subaru....... well it reminds me of an FF1 wagon. i think the front looks all subaru and so dos the rear, the ff1 is very distinktive with the split tailgate. i guess some of the dots and others had the same kind of line but non were thin like the 1400dl's i cant belive the price is up to 2000, mine shall look this good some day i hope. now that i have a parts car it looks good.... man i wish i could find an ff1 wagon then i would own one of each stage up till legacy... oh well........ -

here is what i say (not worth much but hay ) ea82t, build it with all the goodys. studs, port & polish, turbo, ect ect ect then only turn it up to 12lbs you should then have a car that is fast and reliable......... i know the stockers are good for decent power but there isnothing like building amotor to run 200hp and then run it at 150 it will last forever and be fast.. -
Its nice to see there is some support. i i agree with what alot of you have said i would spilit it like this. 90-present ej's and eg's (svx's) then all ea82s and ea81s then everything else.. from 360s stars, up to ea71 and justys. i hate justys but they are another part of subarus history that is missed in the other fourms and might help those owners
-
so i know that the old post i started went to the mods fourm but what ever happend to it..... what desishion was made... ive had a few pm's about it from other boardmembers...... i guess if there isnt going to be a gen 1 fourm that will cater to the gen 1 crowd and the 360 crowd(which is subarus ruts but is nul and void on our fourm.) then i have to ask this... is there a fourm out there that dos. subarus made after gen 1 are my secound favorite cars but the gen 1 cars are my first (subaru) lov and i will go where they go...... (sorry if this is a bit emosional but this board is awsome except that there is no suport by the board for pre gen 1 stuff and early stage 1..)

Fire stone TOwn and country mud and snows. they are by far the most agresive tires i have had on my 13 wheels. they are studable. (mine are) they are way better then the kumho mud terain tires that i had on 14s. with a locked diff i was able to climb just about anything....
