  1. sounds like you lost somthing in the alt. the best senario... all you need is an alternator... worst alt battery and digi dash if you had one....
  2. the only reason to do this is if you want to use 06+ wheels. unless im mistaken all subys post 06 are 114x5..... anyway sounds like a bunch of work for nothing. remeber alot of svx stuff is unique and expensive(i own one) as for the car why not just drive it...... if the trany is good i might want... i would pay decent for it so let me know...oh never mind your in ak...........
  3.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: i tell you there are probably 10k of them that need to die out here befor they become a rarity...... i see them everyday. and every junk yard has at least a few.... but if you do insist on killing the one you have take the fenders off and sell them to someone who can keep theres alive....
  4. if you want to make it more fun take out the front drive shafts. weld the rear end and run it in rwd its hella fun. also strait pipe it that will and alot of power...... later brian
  5. yea if they guy with the rising sun 360 with 1mile on it cant get 19k then this thing will never sell........ but it would be cool if there were a bidding war and it went to 25k
  6. i never completed the swap. i did fit the engine into the engine bay but i never hooked up the trany.... lots of wiring and stuff and i sold the car to make room for a new project(one that i hope will be finished) you could buy the adapter plate and mate the ej22 to a dr5speed, but you will have a very tight fit. some frame cutting will be needed. and lots of other extras.... if i were you i would fit an ea81.. my old wagon had one(1979) and it would do 80mph....
  7. no im not getting either but look at what the money gets you A, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-SUBARU-WRX-STI-AWD-6-SPEED-WARRANTY-ONE-OWNER-LOOK_W0QQitemZ4613706190QQcategoryZ31868QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem or save 2k and get this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cherry-Shape-1977-DL-Subaru-Antique-Original-Owner_W0QQitemZ4614642726QQcategoryZ6467QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  8. nice pix. on another note do you have pix of your toy somewhere(wheeling) id be interested in seeing how that is coming ive done some toy stuff(had a 81 with 33x14.5s on it anyway nice to see someone is out having fun:headbang:
  9. been in the works.. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/data/500/Mike_s_suby.JPG
  10. first off use the Dgrease to seal all important connections. (bassicaly id do every one under the hood. weather striping check a snorkle is a big step forward. also take a tarp. cut it to fit over the front of the grill and then bunji it on just before you take the plunge. helps make a bow wave its worked awsome the 1 time i tryed it.... get one of these and plum it in the front of you cars pass compartment and just run a tube out the top of the windo. or get a fancy one way valve to put in the door or firewall... anyway they can be had for cheep and will save your cars intior if you get stalled. http://cgi.ebay.com/Brand-New-12volt-1400-GPH-Bilge-Pump-Chandlery_W0QQitemZ4612502035QQcategoryZ15263QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem i got a 1700gph one i will probably get another and run duals on my hatch when im done.
  11. austin i have acsess to a 1.8 5speed imp. that is wrecked should be able to get the axles for you for a song if you want. pm me and let me know...its an OBS so if you need anything let me know....
  12. thought it might help those looking to buy front clips if the people on this board would post 1 where they bought it. 2 were they happy. 3 contact info for vendor 4 $$$$$ 5?????

  14. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=679 there are pix of what i found. check out the rust free fenders on the 75 2dr sedan.(white) or how about the wheels. also found an lsd and i picked up non of it:confused:
  15. well today i went out the other direction from town went about 200 miles and found some more fun stuff............pix to follow
  16. im shure you will finish before me(probably be started before me as well) anyway bringing it in under 4K sounds nice... now to start saving money........
  17. Sorry WJM to be down on the ea82t, i guess im not the mechanic you are or dont see the potental. i guess it could probably be built to awsome power 300hp or somthing(like the all out ozzy one) but every time i work on one i just think to myself what a pile of junk,,,, as for your further endevers i will read about them on the board and will enjoy them... anyway good luck,,,,,
  18. if you were going to do a turbo swap into a ea81 body style? lets say a turbo coupe? this will require me saving for a couple of years while im going to a&p School.(airframe and powerplant) anyway id like to do a ej somthing turbo swap. i would like to spend no more then 4-5k for the swap in parts(front cut, wreck type of thing.) of course it would probably take another 1000 in things like gaskets, exhost, clutch, axles, anyway what would be the ideal years and should i find a wrecked wrxsti or a jap import. i can porbably get a us wrx for 3k or so wrecked... but i like the idea of haveing the jap spec motor... thanks in advance for all the help... and input.....
  19. sorry if i cant read i went to private school:lol: and as to the ea82 ultimate build up.... well WELL THERE IS NOTHING ULTIMATE ABOUT AN EA82T unless your the mechanic getting paid to work on it............ (*&( IN s*&^ OUT.... shure they can be made fast for a time but can they stay together. well doubtfull as none have so far........ anyway happy valitiens day(how that for spelling)
  20. fastest rx huh. how do you know there is Corkys old one that im shure is running around somewhere.....who knows how fast it is..
  21. front bumper had a small wrinkle in it. and taillights were good. so was the fronts....
  22. on the flat spoting thing... they do flat spot. ive been driving my bosses 4runner around it has 36x12.5x15s on it. ive been running them at about 8lbs of air in the fronts adn 5lbs in the rear. and they are fairly bad when i first start out but once i go a block or so they are fine. ....... at thats at 10 degrees. so i wouldnt put the flatspoting on the important list of things when deciding tires....
  23. when we did the 8in lift we beat that part in as much as possible and then with our sturt block tight against it our camer worked out better then stock................ if your not up against that then your strut top block is not steep enough IMHO Looks Good..
  24. i dont understand. first off nice bumper. GAY push bar.... i mean it looks ok for raming stupid people on the freeway but for offroading i think you will hate it.. im shure this isnt the final vershion but if it were me i would cut and modify you push bar to weld to the bumper and maybe go through it. it looks like your aproch angle sucks now...... anyway props for building it and i hope to see it finished and in action.... ps make shure to stop in bozeman on your next trip through......
