  1. Ok, I don't want to sound like an rump roast, but how do you route the clutch cable wrong? From my experiences there is just one way it could be run
  2. Is that Scout right hand drive? Looks like it in the top picture.
  3. You can roll back with the Hill Holder. Just let up ooff the clutch just a hair
  4. The intake gaskets have been done around 4,000 miles ago. I really hope thats not the problem again. Put the pressure tester on it again today, needle doesn't budge. Started the truck up with the tester hooked up. Needle doesn't move Pulled the carpet back to see if the heater core might have a very small leak. Everything is dry. Everything seems to be in check. I gave my sister a couple of gallons of deathcool and showed her how to check the rad, and told her that she needs to check the coolant level every few of days. Will it hurt anything to run regular antifreeze in this thing as long as I compleatly fluch out every bit of this red crap? I don't see what it would hurt. I know if you mix the two it isn't good, but I hate to pay a little more for the deathcool, just to have it sludge up 6 months later.
  5. Gaskets were replaced 4,000 miles ago. Could it maybe be the trans cooler leaking?
  6. Ok, my sisters got a 98 Chevy Blazer 2wd Auto with a 4.3 Vortec in it. Coolant is mysteriously disapearing. About half a gallon every two weeks or so. There are absolutly no external leaks. Radiator cap is good. Pressure tested the system. Didn't loose any pressure in 3 hours I left it on there. The thing has absolutaly no overheating problems, and seems to run great. No steam out of the exhaust or anything. Any ideas? I'm stumped on this one.
  7. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I would think that in all these years if this cocktail was any good you would be able to buy it, already to go, of the shelf at the parts store buy now.
  8. Thats what I was thinking, that the oil filler sticks up away from the engine, causing condensation. But, this is the first winter I have ever seen this happen. My other thought is that moisture might have gotten drawn in from a cracked pcv hose. I'm really not worried about it to much. The engine runs good and seems to have plenty of power, for a ea82. I'll keep an eye on things and see what happens as the weather starts to warm up.
  9. So I started to notice a milkshake like funk on my oil cap a couple months back. In my expierience, thats not good. I have looked at all the obvious thinks, no oil in the coolant, no coolant loss at all. None. Also have changed out the pcv and the hoses. They also had the milkshake in them and the hoses were shot. I had electrical tape wraped where they had cracked. Anyway, I was adding a little oil the other day and pulled the pcv hoses just to take a look, and water ran out. Not milkshake looking water, but clean clear water. What the hell? Any ideas? This is in a EA82 with 280,000 miles.
  10. There are a couple of cops around here that don't like the sound of a ea-82 with no Y pipes running at WOT.
  11. Have it welded up where the pipe meets the cherry bomb
  12. If I run mine for 10 or 15 minutes without the cap I get the same results. Coolant spewing everywhere. This will happen with my wagon, and a few others I have run with the cap off. Do you have a working temp gauge? Run it with the radiator cap on and see what happens. If it runs cool with the cap on, then its probably ok.
  13. I'm running stock tires on my Loyale and having the single range leaves alot to be desired. While it does get the job done for what I do with the car, having low range helps the life of the clutch a bunch, not to mention all the times I have run out of gearing and had to use the more speed, more momentum, tear up the car approach:rolleyes: If you are doing more than just DD the car, find a duel range tranny
  14. I did that resistor thing and after a year and a half in burnt up and I kept blowing a fuse. I just have it disconnected for right now with black tape over the cel. What i am wondering is this ok or should I just replace the solenoid so I have a functional egr?
  15. Try adjusting your clutch cable. It sounds like its not adjusted properly.
  16. Your just getting understeer from the front tires spining
