  1. Wow 160 bucks! I'm sure people will live without. Is it not something you can plop onto a free WordPress?
  2. Hey, Need to do an import inspection and don't have a good set of stock tires. Need to borrow some in Vancouver BC for an afternoon. Anyone that can help me out? The reason I'm not buying any is because I'm immediately going to lift and change to bigger tires. So if you have or know someone who has some tires I can borrow while I do an inspection that be great! Justin
  3. Jay racing seems to have all the ones I want. Bunch of money but seems like its worth it. Everyone have good experience with the product think its a worthwhile investment?
  4. Haven't got an email back from him yet. Will check for prices and order soon
  5. Anyone got any sweet switch panels in there cars? Thinking of adding in some lights and internal winch switches. Anyone got any cool panels in there car? Was thinking of adding the winch ones near my dual range lever and maybe some lights on the left side near that tray that mostly accumulates garbage.
  6. Just bought the actual switch part from an ignition today. Indexing is built into that part. Will be a 5 minute replacement. Also got a grille which means I'll be inspection ready really soon.
  7. I want it to be in the ignition. Need to pass an inspection less mickey mouse spoob means less hassle. As is it probably won't pass.
  8. Have a broken ignition in my Subaru GL. It has an indexing issue and has no spring on the "start" setting. Basically the key just floats around and you have to start the car and then bump it back off the starter into the perfect place. Is there a way to repair these or am I screwed? I'd really like to keep one key for the doors and ignition.

  10. Sweet! Looks like I'm going to do that. Forget messing with the wiring and buttons and vacuum nonsense
  11. Seems reasonable going to look into it tomorrow.
  12. Screwed up some of the wiring on my ej swap and cut some wires I shouldn't have. Looking to convert the push button to manual lever. Even If its something I'll have to crawl under the car to activate. Only using this body for the next month and don't want to invest time into rewiring the switch from god knows where I cut it and figuring out how the vacuum lines work. Has anyone done this? Easy way to do so?
  13. What wheels did you find? From what I understand the only ones that are 15" and will fit are puegeot alloys and they will be fine for offset.
  14. Hmmm... So I could get it to run sans turbo temporarily quite easily, just swap the intake and ignore the turbo I guess... This is what I figured. I have the old ecu too but if the mpfi has different sensors I guess I'll stick with the original. Not going to drop the EJ cause its not supposed to be there... I think it may make the import inspection harder. I really don't know though. The details are very vague.
  15. Looking to get a GL from the US and import into Canada since they are impossible to find up here. I've been looking at a gl-10 turbo with a dual range and a blown turbo motor. For import I just want to put an original EA82 in and run it for the inspection then swap to the ej25 I have in my car after. Is it an easy swap? How different is the wiring between the '85 gl turbo and the 93 loyale?
  16. If you're in northern Washington I have a 98 outback rack in Vancouver I'm trying to get rid of. Likely headed down to seattle soon.
  17. Google search the boxerswap vanagon tutorial. They have lots of really good pictures in combo with the one available here.
  18. Whst problems are you having? I just finished mine in the kast few days may be able to help online
  19. Found it today. When the engine rocks back when engine breaking the u joint of the driveshaft rubs on the shuft linkage. Its been grinding away think i might just let it. Well see how bad it gets. Also should help when I build a pitch stop.
  20. Solved it. My wires are a bit short so the engine harness was touching the pipe that connects the intake and head on the drivers side. Melted the wires causing a short. Fully thought I was going to have to pull the harness. Now I need to figure out some kind of heat shield.
  21. Hey, Can't figure out a short and very frustrated, wondering if there is a possible way to narrow it down... I've got an inline 15a fuse coming from the ignition to power the computer, coil, and fuel relay as depicted on boxer swaps. http://www.busaru.com/subaruvanagon/wiringharness The fuse keeps blowing and I'm not sure where or how to go about finding it. It happens as soon as I turn the key into the on position I can watch the fuse blow. I drove the car around for half an hour and everything was fine, got 2 meters from my driveway and the car died. I've tried unplugging the relays, looked for anything obvious but nothing and don't really know how to narrow it down...
