in my 2006 impreza my check engine light came on the other day and the tester i have didn't work. it was for obd2 and can what kind of tester should work. i took it into autozone and there tester couldn't figure it out either it just said something about routine mainenance needed, does that mean tune up and oil change or is it something more sinister?

now it squeals when i first start it. the belt seems tight and it goes away when i turn the wheel a couple of times. it turns ok it just makes a god awful noise when i first start it up and it gets funny looks from people. later this afternoon i will take the belt off and check the pump by hand, then check the belt for rips. do modern belts stretch,i know the old ones do.

in my 2006 impreza,my head gasket leaks, big suprise. i have been told many different things about the o.e.m. gaskets. i have also been told to replace them with gaskets for a turbo engine. right now it is just a wiff of oil burning smoke every now and then and the car runs fine so i am just planning on the future since it is still under warranty. i like to fix things before they break it, it is cheaper that way.

when i go to work at 6.00 am it is kinda cold out and my car turns over a little slow, not sure if it is the battery or the starter. it is a 2006 impreza with a 2.5l engine. once it warms up it does just fine. and now that my ecu has been replaced my cruise control slows me down like it is suppose to. also the aftermarket radio(jensen) is messed up every time i turn on the car i have to turn the volume back up does that have something to do with the battery or could it be the alternator? it is under warranty so i am not sure if i can check it without voiding it.

we are talking about the dipstick on the car right not the dipstick checking the oil? i once drained 4 quarts to much oil out of a ladies car because her husband/boyfriend didn't know how to check the oil and killed a lot of mosquitoes and then refused to pay me because he was embarassed in front of his woman.

i checked under the hood and i'll be darned if i forgot to feed the squirrels they were just laying there with a disgusted look on there face now my car won't start until i go get new ones. should i use wild ones for more power or domesticated ones for longevity?
