the dealer came and towed it back to the shop and fixed it as well as the new catalytic converter and the intake valve control solinoid now if i can just get the back door open the latch is broken they think. but everything else works. they even fixed the abs light,it was a bad sensor, it took then to tries to fix that, first they got the wrong sensor then they broke the bolt on the old sensor i went in at 9:00 am and didn't get out until 5:00 pm then i had to bring it back for the abs sensor they had to replace. now i get to take it to the subaru dealer for all the recalls that should take two days so they will give us a loaner.

i was messing around with my 88 dl wagon today and got everything to light up. it sputtered and almost started i even got the little light on the ecm to work. then i went and bolted the two relays back up above the ecm and now the ign doesn't work so i am thinking the square relay is the ign relay and the round one is the fuel pump relay and i think the ign relay is bad. how do i test it or bypass it temperarily? chiltons and haynes are not helping any.

fog lights

ok i will try that. i looked under the driver seat and found where they used to have and amp because the big silver wire is still there . not sure if it was ground or power i will check it out in a bit or tape it off until i can get the seat out. -
a lady friend recieved a 1990 loyale wagon for free the other day the p.o, lost her licence due to old age and no insurace. the car has new drive lines, new clutch, and a tune up and it is throttle body fuel injection but it hadn't run in two years. someone else tried to fix it and the battery drain problem by taking out the last fusable link,i think it was the black one closest to the firewall and put a switch in,stupid and dangerous. i put a fusable link of the right size back in and eliminated the switch and just replaced the ignition switch. i then tried to start the car and it wouldn't crank over,no power to the solinoid, so i ran a new wire to the solinoid(14 gauge) and clipped the black with the red tracer to the ign switch and spliced it in and low and behold it cranks right over and fires right up and the lady is happy. i even hooked the ac belt back up but i think it needs freon so i will have to update the ac to 134a later.

every time i go over a speed bump in my 2006 impreza the front end has a clunk to it. i haven't got underneath the car to find the problem until everything is settled with the dealer i think it is a upper bearing on the strut or the sway bushings. it does fine down the road just going over speed bumps. i have an appointment with the subaru dealer later this month for some recall issues like a lower control arm, maybe they will find it then.

i used to have a 91 legacy with a 2.2 liter, (i think), the harmonic balancer came apart when i changed the timing belt. when i went to get a new one i was asked if it was and automatic or a manual is there a difference in weight? i put one off of a manual because it felt lighter or was it just the pepsi talking?

How To Get Rid of The Mouse Pee Smell For Good
soopsoop replied to MR_Loyale's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
could have an unfixed tom cat piss in the air intake, that will keep the mice out. it worked for my neighbor in his pickup. he had no mice problems after that and no more tom cats. -
fixed the problem. i put a used ign. switch and ran a new wire to the solinoid, now it works fine. the reason they had problems was the lights would stay on so they bypassed the last fusable link and ran two wires inside to a cheap switch, that's all gone now it starts with the ignition switch i just need the fusable link i think it was the black one.

i will try that next time i am in spokane, probably tomarrow. -
the dealer fixed the pully and the belts and is going to fix the check engine lights and abs tomorrow. the reason it is so high a price is because of my bad credit,i am still paying on my ex wifes stuff, since we were married her bills are mine, the screwing i got for the screwing i got, thank God no kids.

the dealer came and got my 2006 impreza because the pulley went t.u.they changed the pulley and put new belts on but forgot the check engine codes, and swore up and down nobody told him about the abs light being on so i have to come back tomorrow to have them check the rest and to try to open the rear passenger door. so it has been free. the only thing i am worried about is the timing belt and head gaskets, when were they changed last, and is this an interferance motor?

no power to the relay. if i put power to the solinoid terminal it cranks right over and starts right up.
